On the Existence of Time

Does time really exist? Now, I'm no quantum physicist, as I've mentioned before. But I am a philosopher, and I love to consider the things we all take for granted.

From what I've observed, time doesn't exist on most levels. Mountains aren't created by time; they're created by plate tectonics and volcanism. Nor are mountains destroyed by time; erosion takes care of that. Time does not heal wounds. Physical wounds heal through biological and chemical activity, while emotional wounds are healed by positive thinking and distraction. If we didn't know any better, we'd see no evidence that time exists at all.

From what I'm told, as we examine speeds close to the speed of light, we find people shrink, expand, change colors, and age differently. So at least on a quantum level (and perhaps only on a quantum level), time does exist after all.

Some of my entries here are very elaborate. Some, like this one, are not. If you are so inclined, feel free to give me some input on my thoughts. If not, at least consider them as your own springboard into new paths of thought.
