January Soup Day
By Proclamation of the most Excellent Mayor of Marvin Avenue, Tad
Mickelson, Saturday, January 25, 2003 has been proclaimed as Marvin Avenue
“Souper” Bowl Saturday.
The Mayor
requests that his faithful followers meet at the Patterson’s house on 4921
Marvin Avenue at 6:00 p.m. with their
own drinks and a dish for the Mayor’s other faithful followers to enjoy. Soup eating will commence at 6:30 p.m. The soup menu will include chicken noodle
soup and chili—at a minimum.
The Mayor will
regale us with stories of his
reelection for a post that is not voted on.
The Mayor will also inform us of his
future plans for Marvin Avenue

Whereas, the Mayor of Marvin Avenue calls the shots on Marvin Avenue.
Whereas, Tad
Mickelson, is the Mayor for Life on
Marvin Avenue
Whereas, the
Honorable, Most Excellent, Mayor Tad Mickelson has allowed the National
Football League to play the Super Bowl on Sunday, January 26, 2003.
Whereas,
January is winter and during the winter the Mayor and his loyal followers need
warm nourishment in preparation for the Super Bowl.
Therefore, I
proclaim January 25, 2003 as Marvin Avenue Souper Bowl Saturday. My loyal followers will meet at the
Patterson’s house at 6:00 p.m. and begin eating soup at 6:30 p.m. My loyal
followers are commanded to bring their own drinks and a dish for other loyal
followers to enjoy.
