PRINCIPLES OF REACTION

INDUCTIVE THINKING MODEL-2nd stage

We proceeded into the second phase of the model before and after giving the examples and also during the process of thinking while analysing the examples .
The second phase of the inductive thinking model is for the teacher so that the experiences are appropriate so to lead the students to the concept and help them to make generalisations
The principles that were kept in mind while analysing the given examples

  • The given examples are within the existing knowledge of the students- may be across the curriculum or general knowledge
  • The students should be facilitated to form hypothesis in an collaborated effort of small groups
  • The student should be able to explain the change that occurs in the examples  that they have classified
  • The teacher gave clear instructions to facilitate generalisations and see the commonalities in the examples

THIRD PHASE  :SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE INDUCTIVE THINKING MODEL : THIS PHASE IS ALSO DONE BY THE TEACHER

  • THE EXAMPLES TAKEN ARE ESSENTIALLY FROM THE CONCEPTS IN PHYSICS AND THEIR GENERAL KNWLEDGE .THE ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE QUALITY OF HUMAN LIFE HAVE BEEN SPECIALLY CONSIDERED SO THAT THE STUDENTS CAN LINL THE PHYSICAL PHENOMENON TO THEIR DAILY LIFE .
  • EXPERIMENTATION WAS ALLOWED TO VERIFY THE OBSERVATIONS FROM THE EXAMPLE STATEMENTS -LIBRARY MATERIAL AND NETSURFING
  • TEACHER GAVE CLUES TO FOCUS THE CONCEPT TO BE DEVELOPED WHENEVER REQUIRED
  • DEFINING THE CRITERIA FOR THE GROUPING BY ARRANGING THE EXAMPLES IN APPROPRIATE SEQUENCE
