:: THE HISTORY OF THE CWF ::

The Caerleon Wrestling Federation was originally founded years ago by Clive R.McMartyn, head of the company's first family, and President of the company to this day. It was his drive that brought the vision of a great sports entertainment company to reality; it was his drive that helped the CWF survive to the year 2002. In the beginning, the CWF was built around a few key faces, whom the fans grew to support unfailingly, week in, week out, faces such as Dan Jones, Arranboy, Sgt Skull and The Terminator, and Mr. McMartyn's own son Andrew McMartyn. The defining star of the CWF's formative years however, was "The Huckster" Bob Jones, beloved multi-time champion and company icon.

The company would soon take it's action onto Pay-Per-View, and the McMartyns'presentation of the inaugural Danjmania extravaganza catapulted the company'ssuccess to new heights. Soon there would be five Pay-Per-View spectaculars likethis a year; today there is such an event held every calendar month.

In 2001, the McMartyn family made a radical departure from the federation's traditional standing when they took the company onto the internet and transformed it into a bona-fide E-Federation. This venture was short-lived however- as despite the successful events held and the wealth of new talent introduced into the roster the gamble did not pay off substantially enough. The internet expansion of the federation closed down due to staffing problems and cancellation of events, and soon the Caerleon Wrestling Federation resumed normal business.

The CWF/CCW merger at the end of 2001 proved greatly advantageous however. After the failure of the CCW takeover its stars were integrated back into the existing CWF roster, producing a stronger and more varied group of performers. This in turn paid divid ends financially for the CWF, which now finds itself a position to once again take that gamble and attempt to make it big as an E-Federation.

In the Spring of 2002, CWF Co-Owner Andrew McMartyn met female wrestler Melanie 'Acid' Carter whilst gambling in one of the Soho nightclubs. After many rounds of poker and drinks, Acid succeeded to win most of Andrew's cash and his CWF ownership!

Desperate to get his money and his ownership back, Andrew challenged Acid to a match to be held the next day. The stipulations- if Andrew won he got back his money and his CWF ownership, and if Acid won, she got to keep everything that she had won from Andrew the previous night.

The match was brutal and Andrew pulled every dirty trick in the book to win, but Acid managed to defeat him by submission, much to Andrew's dismay. She now owns 25% of the CWF.

There's no question about it- Acid and Andrew don't think much of each other. Clive McMartyn despises her and Jud McMartyn sympathises with her. Acid is the wild card in the CWF management. Who knows what she can do to the company?
