A warm welcome to all from the CWF announce table, and myself, Captain Mosher! Another packed week in the CWF calendar has passed us, so there’s much to talk about in this week’s report. ~ We naturally should start with Whiplash, which in this commentator’s opinion was a fantastic show. From top to bottom the card featured interesting and exciting contests, a personal favourite being that awesome Cage Match between Kid Punk and The Blue Flash. I also like the line-up of our champions following the Pay-Per-View; Faith, Hans Grip and Damian Ali have al proved themselves to be impressive superstars in their particular fields, and Phil Leach has the charisma and popularity to truly stand out as the focal piece of this company. Overall, Whiplash really increased this federation’s productivity. With one event in the bag, I look forward to the next! ~ Another notable twist from Whiplash was the return of one Stone Cold Andy Morgan. A great favourite of mine, Andy Morgan left this company amidst much bad feeling after the collapse of “CCW” last year. It seems that this all-time great is back with a vengeance now, however, making his impact felt at the beginning and the end of the Pay-Per-View event. I question whether Andy will be able to compete at the same level he always has, given his significant time of absence, but it appears plot developments may answer this question for me. If our CWF Chairman indeed sticks by what he says, Stone Cold Andy Morgan may truly have to earn his spot on our roster just like everyone else. Interesting times are ahead for the CWF’s prodigal son. ~ In contrast to the success of Whiplash, I’d say the quality of our TV events this week have not quite lived up to the standards set prior to the Pay-Per-View. Given the work put into Whiplash, Turbulence was an understandably compact show, which was what it was intended to be. It started off some fresh angles that really were not sufficiently carried through onto Redemption, which was by far the weaker show in my estimation. I really feel the entire roster needs to contribute towards our TV productions, not just the upper card talents. The mid carders will get more exposure in this company if they learn to put themselves across on both Turbulence and Redemption. Time will tell if we can create a more balanced television product. ~ If this week’s TV events were a little sub-par, next weeks should more than make up for that, at least if the main event for Turbulence is any indication. Phil Leach vs Andrew McMartyn for the CWF Championship is as good as you’ll get without paying out for a Pay-Per-View event, and this epic battle could carry the show alone. It definitely seems as though the McMartyns are hell-bent on minimising Phil’s time as Champion, and this should provide some scintillating viewing over the coming weeks. Phil Leach himself did not improve the situation by putting his hands on the CWF Chairman last Tuesday, and with the brutal attack two days later by Andrew McMartyn this coming confrontation has a heck of a lot of bad blood riding along. Whoever walks out of Turbulence the Champion this Tuesday, I’d say that the war between the CWF’s first Superstar and the first family is far from over. ~ I was impressed by the efforts of Damian Ali this past Thursday in the main event. With the McMartyns seemingly watching over him, this superstar certainly has good things to look forward to. His and Felicia’s feud with our Vice President will certainly increase his stock here, but the question is will Damian Ali outgrow the Hardcore Championship? ~ As many of you no doubt saw, an individual by the name of Streetboy debuted on Sunday night at Whiplash. For those people who don’t know about this individual, Streetboy is a highly talented guy who knows what it takes to get to the top in a wrestling promotion. I see very big things ahead for this guy, and let’s face it, he certainly made an impact on his first appearance! That’s the news folks, now lets move on to some quick one-liners … ~ Clint Hill is suffering from a mild concussion following his Pay-Per-View battle with The Huckster last weekend. Hill’s been granted two weeks off from action, but expect to seem him back real soon. ~ ‘The Huckster’ too, was a little banged up from their physical conflict, and after a week off for R&R expect the veteran to make his presence felt. ~ Sean O’Kane has been released from the Caerleon Wrestling Federation. We expected good things from this guy but sadly, he just didn’t deliver. ~ Big T has now returned to the CWF, but strangely, in a managerial role. This old timer wonders if this guy can refrain from getting physically involved for an extended amount of time… ~ With Acid’s announcement on Redemption, “X-Force” is well and truly gone from the CWF. Yours Truly can’t say he’s sorry to see them go. ~ The Hardcore Hammond/Masked Attacker situation continues to escalate, with Double H mounting some offensive in their last meeting. How long will it be until this mysterious assailant is revealed? ~ And lastly, is Acid’s “personal life” inflicting upon her work? This young lady might have to make some tough decisions soon … Til next time, this is Captain Mosher saying, “Mosh On!” I'm happy to hear all your comments, opinions and thoughts, so just drop me an e-mail if you want to have your say!
