:: 'THE HUCKSTER' BOB JONES ::
The ligths turn red and yellow as "Real American" blares out over the arena sound system. "The Huckster" Bob Jones appears out on the entrance ramp to a mighty nostalgic roar from the crowd. He taunts and flexes before making his way gingerly down the ramp and into the ring. Huckster cups his ear to listen to the great ovations that still ring in his ears from a by-gone era, then rips off his red "Huckstermania" t-shirt and throws it to the crowd.
Appearance: Huckster still wears the red and yellow colours with pride, and dresses in wrestling tights and traditional wrestling boots. The thickly stuffed elbow and knee pads he wears attempt to protect his battered body from further punishment. He proudly wears his red "Huckstermania" t-shirt to the ring, which he rips off ready for combat. Style: All Rounder Finisher: Huckster Leg Drop 2nd Finisher: The Big Boot
Biography: In his hayday, Bob Jones was one of, if not the finest competitors in the Caerleon Wrestling Federation. Nothing could stop the runaway express train that was 'The Huckster', as he ploughed through challenge after challenge spurred on by the support of his legions and legions of little 'Huckstermaniacs'. His much vaunted Scoop Slam followed by the Leg Drop finished off many an evil opponent. It is widely known that 'The Huckster' won the Gulf War, prevented nucleur conflict between the USA and USSR, invented the 'Swinging Sixties' and put the first man on the moon! Bob Jones was unbeatable, unstoppable, and unmatchable. Now in his senior years, 'The Huckster' finds he no longer has the world at his feet. No longer is he a serious threat to the CWF Championship, no longer does the mere mention of his name send capacity crowds into a frenzy. The 'Sixties' are a distant memory, the Cold War is long over. Bob struggles to find meaningful role in today's new and strange technologically advanced world. CWF fans mock his Noel Edmonds jumpers and out of date haircut. These changes have embittered Bob, who refuses to let go of his glorious past, pouring scorn on a futuristic world that does not understand or accept him. Even though his bones creak and his organs are failing, 'The Huckster' returns to the ring again and again in increasingly desperate attempts to recapture his past glories. Only the future will tell if 'The Huckster' Bob Jones can return to being the force he was decades ago. His tenacity and determination are not in question. Sadly for this once revered competitor, time may have already run out.
