:: CWF SHINDIG SLAM ::
As the CWF logo fades into black, the opening chords of “How You Remind Me” break in. As Nickelback’s song begins to play, we are treated to a video montage of the events leading up to the huge Main Event match at Shindig Slam. The Huckster and Phil Leach are shown standing united, their friendship strengthening through the tag team matches and other adversities the duo has faced over their CWF tenures. Flash forward to a few weeks back on Redemption, where Bob Jones triumphantly returns to TV to come to Phil’s aid as he is set upon by Andrew McMartyn and Damian Ali. We see clips of Mr McMartyn making the No.1 Contenders match between The Huckster and his son, and the veteran triumphing over all odds and defeating McMartyn Junior to earn the coveted title shot at Shindig Slam. However, as the video package demonstrates, from here things begin to go downhill. Paired together in a tag team confrontation, the two friends Leach and Jones mis-communicate, leading to Hans Grip pinning the CWF Champion to the mat. Phil’s anger gets the best of him, and he drops his friend with his Pimp Drop. As he leaves the ring, a look of guilt betrays Phil’s true feelings, but here Mr McMartyn enters the equation. The CWF President attempts to lure both challenger and champion over to his way of thinking as the PPV approaches, but both rebuke his offer of an alliance, much to the President’s chagrin. The plot thickens two days later, as Mr McMartyn comes to the aid of Bob Jones, helping him pick up a win against McMartyn’s own associate, Damian Ali. Later that night, Phil Leach is successful in defeating Hans Grip to retain the CWF Championship, but a rescue attempt by Bob Jones goes awry when the CWF Champion takes offence to being helped, and unloads on his opponent at Shindig Slam! The Huckster fights back, and lays out the CWF Champion with the Big Boot and Legdrop! As The Huckster Bob Jones celebrates in the ring, Mr McMartyn comes out to applaud his efforts. As Redemption goes off the air, the CWF fans are left in confusion and suspense as CWF Shindig Slam arrives upon us!
[In the arena, a massive explosion of fireworks blasts around the arena, illuminating the impressive Riverside Stadium in a plethora of colours. Waving their signs and cheering as loudly as possible, the fans of the country’s newest city are on fire tonight, rabid with anticipation at the upcoming contests. As the pyro dies down and the lights go back up, we see the magnificent blue and silver Shindig Slam set, all shiny mirrored blue panels and chrome gantries and pillars. To one side shrouded in low lighting, the ominous “Theatre Of Pain” can be seen, all set up in preparation for the brutal encounter later in the evening. At ringside, the veteran announce team of Captain Mosher and The Greasy Mexican welcome the fans to the Pay-Per-View, fighting to be heard over the racket of the crowd.] MOSHER: “Good evening, and a warm welcome to you all! We’re so glad that you could join us here at Shindig Slam- guaranteed to be the hottest night of the summer! Tensions have reached boiling point over the last few weeks in the Federation, and tonight is the night those tensions are released! GM, what are you looking forward to tonight?” MEXICAN: “Oh Capataino, the whole thing, essa! What about that ladder match for the IC title, baby? We’ve had some fabulous matches like that over the years! And ‘DSP’, Demon Sheets, he’s returning to action tonight too- although sadly for him, essa, Andrew McMartyn is going to put him in the retirement home for sure!” MOSHER: “And of course, there’s no going back now for Acid, Dan Jones and Kyle Reece tonight. Over the past few weeks, this trio has got themselves into a tangled web and tonight, it’s time for the talking to stop- we’re finally going to find out who will prove themselves the better man! And Mexican, all this and we haven’t even mentioned that emotion-jammed main event tonight for the CWF Championship; this is bound to be a historic match as the leader of the “old generation” does battle with the centrepiece of our “new generation”. The Huckster and Phil Leach will be one for the ages!” MEXICAN: “Ci! And my pick for tonight? The Huckster, essa- because you know what? He just woke up bro, and realised that everyone- EVERYONE – has a price for Mr McMartyn, even a legend like Bob Jones!” MOSHER: “All in all, an amazing line up for you here tonight folks, but without any further ado, let’s go over to Mr Tuck in the ring and kick this baby off!”
Rabbi Bernie Dobba & Fallon vs Tom 'The Shuck' Ickleberry & Asya Referee: Gary Willis TUCK: "This following contest is the Inter Gender Tag Team match! MOSHER: "Our first match of Shindig! Should make for good viewing..." [Suddenly the lights dim and "Teenage Zombie" by Murderdolls blasts through the PA system. We then see Rabbi Bernie Dobba and Fallon come out from behind the curtain to the ring area.] TUCK: "Introducing, at a combined weight of 300lbs, RABBI BERNIE DOBBA AND FALLON!!!" [RBD and Fallon walk down the aisle and slide into the ring. They cross the ring and pose to the crowd as they get a slight reaction from the crowd. They get down and the music stops.] MEXICAN: "Fallon… lovely Fallon!" ["Without Me" by Eminem hits as the crowd start shouting as Asya and The Shuck appear on stage both holding the same table.] TUCK: "Introducing, at a combined weight of 305lbs… ASYA AND THE SHUCK!!!" [Big Nasty and Slik walk down to the ring and then roll in. Asya and The Shuck stand near Fallon and RBD and stare down each other.] [DING! DING! DING!] [All four wrestlers turn away after the referee explained the rules. Suddenly RBD attacks Asya from behind knocking her down into the turnbuckle. The Shuck then grabs RBD off from Asya and knocks him down. Suddenly Fallon runs at The Shuck and baseball slides underneath his legs and then clotheslines The Shuck down to the mat. The Shuck and Asya get up looking at each other as they exit the ring and talk over their tactics. RBD and Fallon lean over the ropes as Asya and The Shuck grab them and bring them down on the top rope causing them to flip backwards. Asya and The Shuck roll in and Asya goes for RBD and The Shuck for Fallon. The Shuck takes Fallon's legs and splits them wide open! The Shuck joins Asya on RBD and both whip him against the ropes and clothesline him down. The Shuck and Asya both grab Fallon and whip her into the ropes and both miss the clothesline as Fallon goes for a shoulder barge, but gets knocked down herself. Suddenly RBD comes from behind Asya and throws her over the top rope with velocity. RBD follows Asya outside the ring and starts to chop away at her causing Asya to lean over the ring apron. Sammy RBD grabs a table from beneath the ring and sets it up. RBD grabs Asya and rolls her on it. He continually punches her until she stays down on the table. RBD climbs to the top rope and goes to put Asya through the table, but The Shuck executes a neckbreaker off the top rope down to the canvas. Fallon goes to work on The Shuck as Asya rolls back into the ring. Asya and RBD start to exchange punches as both sets of wrestlers go to opposite corners of the ring. Asya whips RBD and The Shuck whips Fallon and Fallon and RBD bang straight into one another and fall to the floor.] MOSHER: "Well both teams have had their good and bad points in this match so far." MEXICAN: "There is no sense of order at all!" [Asya and The Shuck pick up RBD and throw him out of the ring down to the mats outside. They go for Fallon and shoulder barge her down to the mat. The Shuck goes in the turnbuckle as Asya holds Fallon in the middle of the ring. The Shuck comes out with a big boot straight to Fallon's face knocking her down. Asya and The Shuck double high five each other.] MOSHER: "OH MY GOD!! RBD could have had his career ended there in that instant!" MEXICAN: "Oy! So much for an exicting match!" MOSHER: "What are you talking about?! That was incredible! Great team work by Asya and the Shuck!" TUCK: "The winners of this match as a result of a disqualification… FALLON AND RABBI BERNIE DOBBA!!!" [Asya and the Shuck are furious at being disqualified, but at least the Rabbi is out of the way. As the EMT's rush to attend to the unconscious religious leader, the Shuck spies a nervous Fallon waiting patiently near to the Rabbi. The Shuck slides over to Fallon from behind and taps her on the shoulder. Fallon spins round and the Shuck attempts to nail her with a clothesline! The Shuck misses as Fallon ducks and sprints over to the ropes, bouncing off and peforming Contradanza (hurricanrama) on the Shuck!] MOSHER: "Did you see that?! Excellent agility there by Fallon!" MEXICAN: "Phew! Lucky move for the lovely Fallon…" [With the Shuck on the ground, Fallon turns her attention to Asya who is walking up the ramp, obviously peeved that the match hasn't gone her way. Fallon smiles sadistically and jumps out of the ring. She reaches underneath the ring and pulls out a chair and runs up the ramp after Asya…] MOSHER: "Don't do it!" [Fallon nails Asya with a chair shot to the back off the head! Asya goes down and Fallon continues to pummel Asya with the chair, delivered various strikes to the back and head of the CWF diva. Fallon then throws the chair, making it clatter on the ramp. She runs to the top of the ramp, grabs a microphone for a stage hand and looks directly at the injured Asya, who is struggling to get up.] FALLON: "An eye for an eye Asya, but are you willing to go for a tooth for a tooth? You've just pissed off the Teenage Zombie- not wise! Starting something? Might as well finish it! Catch you later!" ['Teenage Zombie' plays as Fallon disappears backstage, leaving the EMT's to wheel out RBD, the Shuck and aid Asya, who is no doubt furious.]
[Backstage, Gavin Jones is standing by with Acid.] GAV: "I'm backstage with Acid. We're just moments away from the CWF Women's title match in which Acid will be participating, chalenging Felicia for the belt. Acid, do you have any comments or thoughts that you would like to share with us?" ACID: "I certainly do, Gav, and this goes out directly to you Felicia..." [Acid grabs the mic from Gav and the camera zooms in to a medium shot of Acid...] ACID: "Listen here you little bitch because I'm only going to say this once! You have attacked my friends, therefore you have attacked me! I don't take kindly to those who assume to be something they're not! You assume that you are the #1 woman in this federation. That's fine and dandy, but there's one little detail you overlooked- that position has been filled! You walk around claiming to be something you're not and pretty soon you start to trully believe it. If that's a confidence boost for you, Felicia then I'm about to take away your self esteem! In a few minutes, I'm going to walk into that arena, climb i to that ring and show you the true Acid- the Acid that no one has ever seen before. And I guarantee that when I'm done with you, you'll be working in the 'Get Bent' restaurant for the rest of your career in order to pay off your ass debt!" [The crowd out in the arena scream.] ACID: "And Felicia if you don't like that, then you can... GET BENT!" [Acid shoves the mic back into Gav's hands and walks away down the corridor towards the entrance.]
CWF Hardcore Title Match Stone Cold Andy Morgan(c)/Disco Stu Vs Deftonial/Clint Hill Referee: Phil James Ralph Tuck: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match, scheduled for one fall is for the CWF Hardcore Championship. Introducing first, from California, weighing at 275lbs…DEEEFFFFTTTOOOONNNIIIAAALLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!! The lights go out. The arena fills with darkness. With several red flashes of light, "Bored" hits the speakers. White strobes flash across the stage as Deftonial appears. He is an astounding physical specimen. He charges the ring and pulls himself over the ropes. Deftonial then flexes for the crowd as the crowd give a mixed reaction but the majority booing the Californian native. Ralph Tuck: Introducing his tag team partner…CCLLLIINNNTTT HHHIIILLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of a sudden, “Bored” fades out as “Beautiful Creatures” can be heard over the PA system as Clint Hill makes his way out onto the top of the ramp. He stands there for a moment as the crowd give him a warm reaction. He makes his way down to the ring and slides under the ropes and is met by Deftonial and a handshake. Ralph Tuck: Their opponents, first, from Jamaica, weighing at 158lbs…DISCOOOO STUUUU!!!!!!!!!!! As the Bee Gees high-pitched voices and disco beat sound through the arena, the strobes and multi-coloured disco lights flare into action. Disco Stu grooves onto the stage and dances for the crowd, to the screams of the ladies in the audience. Disco Stu boogies his way down to the ring, waving to the fans and soaking up the attention. Once in the ring, he dances again for the fan as the song fades away and the lighting returns to normal. Ralph Tuck: And his tag team partner, the CWF Hardcore Champion…STONE COLD ANDY MOOORRGAAANNN!!!!!!!!!! The glass smashes loudly and the fans leap up and roar their support, but instead of Andy’s frenetic old “Hellraiser” music the smooth beat of “Shaft” sounds through. Andy Morgan stampedes down to the ring and climbs all four turnbuckles to play to the crowd before preparing himself for battle. He looks at Disco Stu with a cold glare and tells him to get out of the ring, as he will start the match. Mosher: Well this match isn’t going to be for the weak hearted Greasy Mexican, especially with the stipulation that has been put in, Stone Cold doesn’t have to be pinned to lose the title! Greasy Mexican: That’s right senor, and remember, anything is legal! Mosher: Well its going to be Stone Cold and Deftonial to start this one off and here we go for the Hardcore Title! (Stone Cold is still talking to Disco Stu as Deftonial runs and axe handles Stone Cold into his own corner and gets a cheap shot on Stu for good measure. He begins to start pummelling Stone Cold in the corner, but Stone Cold turns it around and begins laying into him with right hands. He puts him to the ropes and nails Deftonial with a thunderous clothesline. He then picks him up and scoop slam’s him to the floor as Stone Cold ascends to the second rope and drops a double elbow drop into the heart of Deftonial) Mosher: Well Mexican there is one of Stone Cold’s patented moves, dropping the elbow right into the heart of Deftonial…if he’s got one. (Deftonial, shook up retreats to his corner where he tags in Clint Hill, a large cheer erupts from the fans seeing two CWF legends in the ring ready to fight. The two superstars circle one another before they both lock up. They lock up as Hill pushes Stone Cold to the ropes. He takes Stone Cold off the ropes and as Stone Cold hits the second set of ropes is smashed in the back with a steel chair from Deftonial) Mosher: Oh my gosh! A chair shot to the back of Stone Cold by the illegal man, Clint Hill will have the upper hand now. Mexican: That is an understatement my friend, but I’m sure Deftonial did it with good reason! Mosher: Yeah, I’m sure, by the way, I’m being sarcastic. (Stone Cold staggers into Clint Hill who gives Stone Cold a sharp spine buster. Deftonial slides the chair into the ring. Disco Stu sees this and gets into the ring and pick up the chair. He nails Clint Hill right between the eyes as both men go down; Stu resumes his position in the corner) Mexican: Hey amigo, Disco Stu is the illegal man, with an illegal weapon! Mosher: Umm, I think your forgetting something, this is a Hardcore match. (Clint Hill gets to his corner first as Stone Cold looks to his corner but refuses to tag in Stu) Mosher: What is Stone Cold doing Mexican, he is refusing to tag in Stu; this has turned into a handicap match! Mexican: Maybe he realises that Disco Stu just isn’t fit to be his partner and that he would do better on his own. (Stone Cold gets to his feet as Deftonial gets back into the ring. Deftonial runs at Morgan who nails him to the ground, Hill then gets back in put is put back out by Morgan with a clothesline over the top rope. Stone Cold picks up Deftonial and takes him off the ropes and delivers a Lou Thez Press, with stinging right hands. He then roles out of the ring and goes under the apron to reveal two trash cans, trash can lids, and tables. Stone Cold pulls out one table, and pulls out the trash cans and lids) Mosher: Oh, here we go, now things are going to get real ugly. Mexican: Just the way I like it amigo. (Stone Cold slides all of the weapons into the ring and nails Deftonial in the head with the trash can lid all of four times before putting the trash can over his head and dropkicking the trash can into his head. Deftonial, then tags in Clint Hill again very quickly who gets into the ring and is met with right hands by Stone Cold who is looking visually fatigued) Mosher: Stone Cold desperately needs to make the tag; he’s looking really tired. Mexican: Well I think he’s doing Okay on his own. (Hill gets the better of a tired Stone Cold and knocks him down with a clothesline. He picks up a trash can lid and nails Stone Cold once in the back and then in the head. He goes for the cover. Mosher: First cover attempt of the match! Phil James counts. 1… 2… Kick out! Mosher: Close but no cigar. Hill will need more than that to beat the champion. (Hill goes to nail Stone Cold with the chair, but Stone Cold ducks and kicks the chair back into the face of Hill. He turns around as Stone Cold kicks him in the gut and nails his finisher the Andy Morgan Stunner! Mosher: STUNNER!!!!! STUNNER!!!!!!! ITS OVER!!!! (Stone Cold makes the cover) 1… 2… Thr…NO! Mosher: Deftonial broke up the pinfall! (Disco Stu runs in and spears down Deftonial as the both role out of the ring as they both start brawling on the outside of the ring. Deftonial then goes under the ring again and this time pulls out a ladder!) Mosher: Oh My Gosh! The ladder has been bought out Mexican, this is looking bad! Mexican: Ay amigo, this is getting good now! (Deftonial sets up the ladder on the outside and pulls out a table as well and sets it up in front of the ladder) Mosher: I don’t like the looks of this. Mexican: I do! (Deftonial beats Stu down and nails him in the head with the steel steps pretty much knocking him unconscious. He lays him onto the table and ascends the ladder. At the top he salutes the crowd before doing a moonsault off the top of the ladder and through Disco Stu’s body on the table!!) Mosher: OH MY GOD! DEFTONIAL JUST DID A MOONSAULT OFF THE LADDER THROUGH DISCO STU THROUGH THE TABLE!!!! Mexican: Aye Carumba! (Deftonial and Stu lie motionless outside the ring as Stone Cold and Clint Hill battle it out in the ring. Hill knocks down Stone Cold again and goes under the ring to look for something. He then comes back up with a sledgehammer in his and roles into the ring with it) Mosher: Oh no, what on earth is he going to do with that? Mexican: Use your imagination amigo! (Hill measures up Stone Cold and levels him right between the eyes with the sledgehammer. Hill then goes for a pinfall attempt on the now bloody Stone Cold, Phil James Counts) 1… 2… Thr…NO! Mosher: How on earth did Andy Morton kick out of that shot to the head? Mexican: I don’t know but he’s still in bad shape, he’s loosing blood amigo! (Clint Hill looks up at the referee in astonishment and can’t believe that Stone Cold kicked out. He then begins stomping Andy Morton in the corner as Disco Stu is somehow making his way back onto his apron. Clint Hill then takes Stone Cold off the ropes and as Stone Cold bounces off the ropes, Stu tags himself in as Deftonial crawls in and hits a running Stone Cold with Around The Fur!) Mosher: AROUND THE FUR!!! AROUND THE FUR!!! THIS ONE’S OVER! Mexican: No amigo, Stu tagged himself in! (Clint Hill lunges for Disco Stu, who ducks. Hill knocks Deftonial over the top rope and to the arena floor as Stone Cold pulls out a second ladder from under the ring and slides it into the ring. Meanwhile, Stu frantically swings his hands out in front of him as Clint Hill advances on him. Andy Morgan nails Hill over the head with the steel chair- busting him open. Hill is lying motionless on the floor as Stu climbs onto him for the pin. As Disco Stu makes the cover, Deftonial drags Stone Cold Andy Morgan out to the floor…) 1 2 NO! (Clint Hill barely manages to kick out of the chair shot, but Stu’s puny weight was not enough to keep him down for the three. Clint Hill begins to struggle to his feet, and the inexperienced Disco Stu looks around with uncertainty. Stu looks to his tag partner for aid, but Stone Cold Andy Morgan and Deftonial are brawling wildly on the outside.) MEXICAN: Somebody get Disco Stu outta there! That man, he’s a liability, essa! Disco Stu nails his opponent with a weak trash can lid shot, then scampers up to the top rope. He signals for his rarely seen Boogie Bomb … but no! Clint Hill scrambles up and races over to the turnbuckle, then blasts Stu right in the face with the steel chair! Disco Stu collapses onto the upper turnbuckle, and his opponent climbs up to join him. Top Rope Piledriver by Clint Hill! He absolutely drills Disco Stu into the mat, then quickly covers him for the pin. As Phil James begins the count, a shocked Andy Morgan turns to see his partner being covered…] 1… 2… 3!!!!!! Mosher: Its over, we got a new Hardcore Champion! Mexican: And Stone Cold never even got pinned!!!! Ralph Tuck: Here is your winner…and new CWF Hardcore Champion…CLINT HILL!!!!!!!!!!!!! (“Beautiful Creatures” hits the PA system as Hill roles out of the ring holding his arm as referee Phil James raises his arm in victory and hands him his belt! Hill slowly crawls up the ramp and disappears backstage. Deftonial follows behind him as in the ring, Disco Stu is slowly getting up after losing Stone Cold’s title. Andy Morgan rolls into the ring and stands in the corner, hands on hips, staring coldly at his partner.) Mosher: Oh dear! For some reason I don’t think that Stone Cold is very happy about that Mexican! Mexican: Well wouldn’t you amigo if that was you? (Desperate to make amends, Disco Stu rolls to the outside and grabs an armful of beers before climbing hastily back into the ring. Smiling and nodding madly, Stu thrusts a can of beer into the hand of his fuming tag partner. Andy checks the beer, opens it, and takes a swig. Overjoyed, Disco Stu opens his beverage and also gulps down the liquid. Mid mouthful, Stu receives a boot to the stomach. STUNNER! “Shaft” hits the PA system as the fans cheer loudly for Stone Cold Andy Morgan, who calls for more beers as he salutes the crowd before retreating backstage, leaving a quivering and beer soaked Disco Stu lying in the ring.) Mosher: Well Stone Cold doesn’t exactly look like the loser here does he? Mexican: No! I’d say Disco Stu looks like the biggest loser on the planet right now!
[We are shown a shot of one of the backstage corridors at the Newport Riverside Stadium, the most noticeable feature being a large “EXIT” door that evidently leads in and out of the arena. Suddenly the door opens and a massive roar is heard from the crowd- the CWF Champion Phil ‘The Man’ Leach has arrived in the building!] MEXICAN: “Can’t El Callabero Pimpo turn up early for once, essa?!” MOSHER: “Ah Mexican, I expect he’s been vigorously “training” if you catch my drift …” [A hard and determined look on his face, the CWF Champion makes his way down the corridor, title belt and kit bag slung over his shoulders. He rounds into a large staging area where ‘The Man’ is almost instantly greeted by Gav Jones, bursting with excitement at the chance to interview the top man in the company. Phil stops, but his face betrays his impatience to get going as Jones begins firing away.] GAV: “Phil Leach … we haven’t heard a word from you since Thursday Night Redemption, where it seemed to all the world that your friendship with ‘The Huckster’ Bob Jones finally cracked under the pressure of your upcom- LOOK OUT!” [Gavin Jones stops out mid sentence and yells out a warning, just as Phil Leach is blindsided from the back by Corporate stooges Ingham and Quarterman. The two middle aged road agents knock the CWF Champion to the floor, and begin beating and stomping the hapless Phil into the ground as the cowardly Gav flees the scene.] MEXICAN: “Haha! Looks like the welcoming party has come to say “Hola” to Senor Leach!” MOSHER: “Somebody stop this! Why are these two idiots attacking Phil Leach? What the Hell is going on here!” [Gutsily, Phil Leach stumbles up to one knee and fires back some desperate shots, knocking his attackers off their feet. The CWF Champion tackles down Quarterman and begins to fight back ferociously, but behind him, Ingham scrabbles in some nearby equipment and pulls out a steel chair, smashing the weapon across ‘The Man’s’ back and knocking him down to the ground for good. The two assailants take some final kicks at the fallen Gentleman Pimp before stalking off, leaving a barely conscious Phil groaning on the ground.] MOSHER: “Someone get him some help! Mexican, I can’t believe this!”
CWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP Hans Grip vs Kid Punk TUCK: "The following is a ladder match for the CWF intercontinental championship! First, making his way to ring, the challenger, KID PUNK!" ["Dysentry Gary" hits the PA, and Kid Punk himself struts out onto the stage. He glares around him at the fans, then throws his arms into the air. He is met by a great boo. He stays at the top of the ramp for a few seconds, then strolls to the ring. The catcalls and whistling continues as he makes his way down.] MOSHER: "Kid Punk is looking in great shape for this! Of course, he recently lost his Hardcore belt to Stone Cold Andy Morgan just prior to this show! He's probably eager to get his hands on another title!" MEXICAN: "He's sure got one hell of a challenge ahead of him, taking on Hans Grip, eh gringo?" MOSHER: "Can't argue with that! He's got one huge moutain to climb!" [Kid Punk has made it to ringside now. He strolls around the sides, then steps onto the steel ring steps. He climbs up to the apron, then ducks between the ropes. There is a referee present, however, he has little power over either competitor.] TUCK: "And the champion, accompanied by Sven Oger Svennson, HANS GRIP!" ["Supertrooper" starts up. The eccentric Swedes make their entrance. Hans stands slightly in front of Sven, IC title absent from his shoulder. Hans stands on the stage and raises his arms over his head. He is given an even greater boo than Kid Punk. They both stride towards the ring together.] MEXICAN: "Here's my pick for the match! Senor Grip has the best win record of the whole roster!" MOSHER: "Of course, his first loss was on our last show, against Phil Leach. He seemed to have lost some of his confidence after that, but he looks in good form here!" [After Hans makes it to the ring, he climbs straight onto the apron. He steps over the ropes and glares at Kid Punk. He looks up at the IC title dangling high above his head. Kid Punk follows his gaze to also focus on the title. In the background, a pair of security staff erect the feared ladder, just at the base of the ramp.] MOSHER: "This should be one for the ages!" [Sven shouts out some last minute encouragement to his young, yet huge, protege. The referee, mostly present for decoration, rather than for any purpose, calls for the bell.] MEXICAN: "Here we go, gringo! I can't wait!" [The two men keep a distance between them to start, but soon realise they aren't getting anywhere. They try to lock up, but Punk feints to the side, letting Hans stumble. He nails Grip with some quick jabs, then, foolishly, tries to whip his large opponent. Hans reverse, almost throwing Punk against the turnbuckles. Grip charges into the corner, but Punk ducks aside. He hits Grip with some more quick punches, keeping him dazed.] MOSHER: "Kid Punk is using Hans' weight against him! Punk has the clear speed advantage in this contest!" MEXICAN: "True, but once senor Hans gets hold of him, I don't fancy his chances!" MOSHER: "I'll second that!" [Punk jumps onto Grip's shoulders, attempting a Hurracanrana, but Hans counters. He smashes Punk with a Snap Powerbomb. Now it's the champion's turn to dish out the punishment. Hans pulls Punk roughly to his feet. He boots his smaller foe in the gut, then lifts him up and plants him with a bone crunching Dominator. Kid Punk curls up as he lies hurting on the canvas. Hans grins at him, then steps on his head. Kid Punk squirms under Hans' huge boot. The referee instinctively tries to reprimand Grip, but the mighty Swede just pushes the powerless official aside. Hans gets bored of standing on Punk and pulls him up. He whips the former Hardcore champ, and swings a mighty lariat at him. Punk ducks the blow, then bounces back and dropkicks Grip in the face. The IC champ stumbles back, holding his nose. Punk quickly gets up and follows up. He bounces off the ropes and hits a flying forearm, sending Hans reeling. Just as Hans recovers, Punk charges him once more. He catches the Swede with an awesome Tornado DDT that leaves them both on the mat.] MOSHER: "What an intense effort from Kid Punk! He's giving this his all!" MEXICAN: "He got no choice, Capitano, if he want to win this!" [Kid Punk is breathing heavily from his last series of attacks. Grip is still down. Punk decides not to waste the opportunity. He jumps up atop the ringpost and leaps off backwards. He spins in the air, pulling off a textbook Moonsault. Unfortunately, by the time he reaches Hans' level, the great Swede has moved. Punk crashes into the mat and bounces into the air.] MEXICAN: "Ooh! Bad move!" MOSHER: "He's just emphasising the effect of that earlier Dominator!" [Hans pulls himself to his feet first. He drags Punk up as well, whips him, then floors him with a boot in the face. Grip reaches down once more, drags his hapless foe up again, then lobs him, effortlessly, over the ropes. Punk drops to the floor outside, just in front of the ladder. Hans follows shortly after. He gets Punk standing again, then hurls him, head first, into the security barrier around the ringside area. Punk's head bounces off with a painful thud and he slumps to the floor. Hans then takes hold of the ladder. He closes it up and slides it under the ropes. Rather than follow, however, Hans turns to Sven for advice. His bespectacled manager gestures to Kid Punk. Hans nods in agreement. He wanders over to the stunned challenger. The IC champ pulls Punk upright, then hoists him into the Gorilla Press position. He holds for a moment more, before dropping Punk down across the security barrier.] MOSHER: "Ooh! I felt that impact all the way over here!" [Hans turns back to the ring and climbs back in. He picks up the ladder and stands it in the centre of the ring. Hans pauses to lean on the ladder, obviously slightly drained from his exertions, but Sven's frantic shouting propels him into action. Slowly, the enormous Swede starts climbing, one step at a time.] MEXICAN: "Senor Grip is going for gold! Kid Punk had better act soon!" MOSHER: "Hans is just a few feet from the title! Kid Punk has to do something right now!" [Hans is halfway up the ladder when Kid Punk stirs. Punk groggily staggers to his feet. He is focused enough to register Hans Grip most of the way up the ladder, so he slides into the ring. Grip is now atop the ladder. He stretches up for the belt, his fingertips brushing against it. Kid Punk tries to shake Hans off the ladder, but finds the Swede's great weight is holding it steady. Instead, Punk steps back into the ropes and bounces off the hit a dropkick on the side of the steel frame. Both ladder and Grip fall sideways. The ladder hits the top rope and stops, however the IC champ is not so lucky. His momentum causes him to collide loudly with the padded floor outside the ring.] MOSHER: "WHOAH! What a fall!" MEXICAN: "Senor Punk just send Grip falling like an apple off a tree!" [The mighty Swede lies still at ringside. Sven rushes over to his charge and attempts to gain a response. Meanwhile, the heavily fatigued Kid Punk pulls himself upright, assisted by the ring ropes. He staggers to the ladder and stands it up again. Slowly, Punk starts to climb. Kid Punk seems to be hurting more than Hans, as he is climbing far more slowly. Sven seems to be bringing Hans round, but Kid Punk is now halfway up the ladder. By the time Sven has pulled Hans to his feet and pointed him at the ring, Kid Punk is at the top. Luckily for Hans, Punk doesn't have the energy to reach the belt yet. As he struggles to get a few inches closer, the IC champ slides into the ring. Rather than just tip the ladder as Punk had done, Grip holds it firmly on either side. With a yell of effort he closes it up. Kid Punk sways precariously on his unstable perch. Hans Grip is now the only thing supporting the ladder. He literally lifts it in his arms and carries it to the side of the ring. Kid Punk is helpless and Hans flips the ladder over the ropes. Punk hits the ground hard, but suffers more when the ladder falls down on top of him. Hans clambers out of the ring and meanders over to Kid Punk's prone body. Sven has already arrived and is attempting to slide the ladder back into the ring, however, the stringy manager is too weak to lift it fully.] MOSHER: "This is madness! There's not going to be anything left of these two when this is over!" MEXICAN: "Senor Punk is in big trouble! He can't take this kind of punishment! He's not as strong as Hans!" [Hans arrives and assists Sven in shoving the ladder under the ropes. He kicks Kid Punk, but gets no response. Satisfied his opponent is down for the count, Hans also gets back into the ring. Panting heavily, he slowly stands the ladder up yet again. Sven urges him to climb, also keeping one eye on Kid Punk. Wearily, Hans lifts first one foot, then the other.] MOSHER: "Is this it?! Kid Punk can't move! Hans looks set to win this!" MEXICAN: "Aye carumba!" [Outside the ring, Kid Punk rolls over and starts to wake up. Sven's shouting intensifies. Hans struggles upward. Sven is red faced, screaming his head off. Kid Punk is onto one knee. He looks up and sees Sven shouting encouragement to Hans. Hans is a few steps from the top. Sven turns around just in time to see Kid Punk rolls into the ring. Hans also looks down and sees the trouble. Sven shouts at him to continue. Kid Punk stands up inside the ring, but finds himself unable to move. He glances down to see Sven Oger Svennson clinging to his leg like a limpet. Punk shakes his foot, but Sven holds on. Hans sees Sven nobly attempting to delay Punk and a worried look crosses his face. Grip struggles to decide whether to try and get the belt, or save his manager. His mind is made up, however, when Sven shouts at him to get moving. Kid Punk finally kicks Sven away from him. He leaps onto the ladder and starts climbing. He is able to catch up with Hans' feet in time to stop him reaching the top. Kid Punk holds tight to the Swede's boot, preventing him climbing any further. However, Kid Punk himself is not strong enough to pull Hans off the ladder.] MEXICAN: "This is getting close! It's so intense!" MOSHER: "It all depends on who can hold on longest! Hans has to try and reach that belt, but can he do that with Kid Punk holding on to him?!" [Hans' great strength seems to be failing him. All his concentration is going into staying on the ladder, stopping him being able to reach the belt. Kid Punk sees him starting to weaken and takes a huge risk. Not being able to go around Hans, Punk has no choice but climb up him. He slowly manages to pull himself up the mountainous Swede, holding onto his shoulders. Hans feebly tries to shake him off, but to no avail. Kid Punk manages to get his legs onto Hans' shoulders. He sits on top of the IC champion and stretches up to reach the belt. Hans however, sees a slim chance of his own. He slowly manages to shift position, turning around to face Kid Punk. Punk notices Hans' plan too late. He is in the perfect position for a Powerbomb! Kid Punk tries to reason with Grip. Sven yells at Hans to do it. Several fans even start up a "Do it!" chant. With a final effort, Hans pushes off the ladder, turning round in the air. Kid Punk smashes into the canvas with a tremendous bang. Hans lands less forcibly on his belly nearby. A great pop goes up in honour of such a daring move.] MOSHER: "This is nuts! Hans Grip just nailed a 'Teuton Crusher' off the top of that ladder! There's no way Kid Punk can come back from that!" MEXICAN: "This must be over now!" [Sven climbs into the ring and tries to drag Hans closer to the ladder. The giant Swede slowly claws his way across the mat. Using his manager for support, Hans is able to make it to his feet. Sven runs round to the side and lifts his one foot onto the ladder. He then runs round the other side and lifts Han's foot onto the next rung. With the last of his strength, Hans Grip keeps climbing the ladder. Slowly and autonomously, the IC champ goes from rung to rung, until, at last, he is at the top. With a grimace of pain, Hans stretches out for the belt. The fans are actually cheering Hans now, as he is just centimetres from retaining his title.] MOSHER: "So close! Can he find that little bit more energy?!" MEXICAN: "Come on, senor Grip, do it!" [Amazingly, Kid Punk is starting to stir. Like a zombie, he rises to his knees. Ever so slowly he cranes his neck and stares up and Hans. With the strain visible on his face, Punk lifts himself to his feet. At the same moment, Hans Grip goes all out. He climbs the last few steps, to end up standing on top of the ladder with nothing to hold onto. Just as Kid Punk throws himself into the steel structure, Hans reaches up and grasps his title. With the ladder gone, the giant Swede drops straight down to the ring floor, belt in hand. Kid Punk collapses near the toppled ladder. The bell is rung and Mr Tuck enters the ring.] TUCK: "The winner, and STILL CWF Intercontinental Champion, HANS GRIP!" MOSHER: "He did it! Hans Grip really earned his paycheck tonight!" MEXICAN: "What a contest, eh Capitano?!" ["Supertrooper" begins to play. Sven manages to raise Hans Grip to a slouched position, but at least he's on his feet. The big Swede seems to have hurt his face, as his mouth is fixed in an enormous grin. He raises the arm holding his belt over his head, sweat and blood dripping off his chin. Leaning on Sven's shoulder, Hans starts stumbling up the ramp. Struggling under the great load, Sven leads his student away from the ring, leaving a scene of carnage behind.]
[Out in the car park of the Riverside Stadium, the cameras are lying in wait for any activity from the CWF Superstars. Sure enough, a door from inside the arena suddenly slams open, smashing into the wall next to it. Wearing denim jeans and one of his t-shirts, and carrying a kit bag over his shoulder, Stone Cold Andy Morgan storms out of the arena and marches across the concrete towards his car, a look of pure and seething rage on his face. Out of the door behind him runs a frantic looking Disco Stu, who is yet to change from his ring attire. He scurries after the CWF veteran, pleading desperately as Andy stomps towards the car, totally ignoring the excuses and apologies coming from Stu.] STU: “Look, I’m sorry! I never wanted to be in that match anyway- I just knew I’d end up losing that title for you! I’m so sorry! How can I make it up to- ooof!” [Disco Stu has caught up with Andy at his car, but as he attempts to get through to his tag partner Andy swings open the driver’s door of his vehicle, cracking Stu in the stomach with it in the process. Doubling up in pain, he continues to plead as Stone Cold flings his bag onto the back seat and climbs in behind the wheel.] STU: “Look! OK, I deserved that, I know, just like I deserved that Stunner you gave me! But please, just say something- anything, even if it’s a swearword or something! Please, Andy!” [Looking utterly nonplussed, Andy Morgan continues to stare straight ahead, not even acknowledging Stu’s presence. The engine starts, and SCAM begins to drive off. To Disco Stu’s alarm, he discovers that his shirt is caught in the door. Andy drives off, and Stu is dragged alongside the vehicle, running to keep up with it. He takes this opportunity to attempt more reconciliation.] STU: “I … er … uhm …ah … SHRIEK!!!” [Andy Morgan speeds up about 10 mph, and Stu has no choice but to tear off his shirt and let it leave with the car. The ex-Hardcore Champion speeds off into the night, leaving a despondent Stu to watch him go guiltily. To compound his woes, Gavin Jones comes running up to him.] GAV: “Disco Stu! We saw you just attempt to explain and apologise to Andy Morgan for getting pinned earlier tonight and losing him the Hardcore Title- how DID he take it?” STU: “-Sigh-. Gav it could just be me, but I don’t think that went very well…”
CWF WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP Felicia vs Acid Referee: Dennis Morgan [The house lights go red and a scream is heard over the PA. "Bodies" by Drowning Pool begins to play and when the chant ends and the real music hits out comes Felicia to a mixed reaction, they don't know whether to hate her or drool over her. She blows a mock kiss at the crowd before she gives them a huge "up yours" motion. Felicia heads down to the ring taunting the fans as she passes. The CWF Women's championship is draped over her shoulder.] MEXICAN: "Holy nachos! Doesn't Felicia look confident tonight? I don't think anything can stop her!" MOSHER: "True, she does! But don't underestimate our Vice President. She's a lady with a grudge!" [The arena goes pitch black. Music, or more like the sound of a man being gutted to harsh guitar riffs, plays over the sound system as some captions flash onto the big screen-"Worthlessness is only the beginning... Life does not begin until... you comprehend... that one day... you too will die..." There's a flash of white light as the opening riffs to 'Left Behind' scream out over the arena. The arena lightens up slightly as from the curtain emerges Acid. She strides confidently down the ramp.] MEXICAN: "Speak of the devil.." MOSHER: "A woman on mission. Acid has her sights set on gaining not only the CWF Women's title, but regaining her title as the Number 1 Female in the Fed!" [Acid walks up the black steps and climbs into the ring under the 3rd rope. She goes directly to the turnbuckle and lifts up one of her hands as the crowd cheers. Acid then looks over to Felicia and shouts over something similar to 'That title is mine'. Felicia just laughs it off and walks over to Acid. Referee Dennis Morgan calls for the bell for the match to begin.] [DING! DING! DING!] [Felicia goes for a clothesline and connects, dropping Acid to the mat. Felicia then begins repeatedly kicking Acid on the mat before backing away and flicking her hair back confidently. Acid is enraged at Felicia and charges at her, flooring Felicia with a spear! Acid then start beating Felicia's head down on the mat for a while but then Felicia turns it over and starts slapping Acid across the face before Acid kicks her away and both get to their feet. Felicia then rams in a headlock on Acid, but Acid soon reverses it with a backdrop and a cover] [..1..] [..2..] [..Kick Out!] [Felicia rolls away from danger and gets up. She then kicks Acid in the gut and gives her a big suplex. Felicia then runs off the ropes and gives Acid a leg drop. Felicia rolls away and watches Acid get up. Felicia then clotheslines Acid over the top rope, but with such power that her momentum takes herself over as well!] MEXICAN: "Who said women's wrestling is weak? It's the most exciting thing I have seen in years, both wrestlers with their sexy bodies and those two big well rounded.." MOSHER: "Personalities! Yes children! Two big well rounded personalities!" [Both women lie down on the mat before climbing to their feet. Felicia whips Acid against the steel steps and then runs over to her but Acid ducks and gives Felicia a huge back body drop onto the floor! Acid then walks over to Felicia and pulls her up, and tosses her back under the bottom rope into the ring. Acid follows her in and when Felicia gets up Acid gives her a hiptoss onto the mat. Acid then climbs the top rope and waits for Felicia to eventually rise and gives Felicia a cross body block! Acid keeps it in for the pin] [..1..] [..2..] [..No! Felicia Kicks Out!] [Acid can't believe it. She picks Felicia up and tries a spinning heel kick but Felicia ducks out the way and kicks Acid in the gut and then gives her the 'Felicia Effect' and covers her] [..1..] [..2..] [..Kick Out!] [Felicia quickly gets up and jumps up onto the nearest turnbuckle. She's about to deliver the 'Philly Hit,' but Acid comes up from behind, pulling Felicia off the turnbuckle down to the mat. Acid then pulls Felicia over and gives her a sharpshooter! Felicia starts to scream out in pain and starts desperately trying to reach for the closest ropes and eventually gets to them ropes, dragging her arm over them, and therefore breaking the hold to Acid's dismay. Acid gets up and kicks the bottom rope, obviously frustrated. She lifts Felicia up and gives her a snapmare followed by a feisty kick to Felicia's back. Acid beckons at Felicia to get up and when she does Acid goes for a clothesline but Felicia dodges this and gives Acid a neckbreaker! Felicia then ventures the top rope and goes for the 'Philly Bit' again, but Acid rolls out the way in the nick of time and Felicia crashes onto the mat, face first. Acid then drags Felicia over and covers her…] [..1..] [..2..] [..Felicia thrusts a shoulder up!] [Acid gets up drags Felicia to her feet. Acid then whips Felicia off the ropes but on return Felicia attempts a hurricanrana. Acid uses her strength to stop this though and gives Felicia a powerbomb! Felicia's back slams against the mat. Acid then runs off the ropes and delivers a modified version of her patented 'Soul Fly'- she jumps to the ropes then flips off just short of the opponents body, she lands on her feet but rapidly performs a standing moonsault on Felicia! The whole crowd is on their feet cheering at Acid's act of athleticism] MOSHER: "Wow! I have NEVER seen anything like that!" [Acid hooks both of Felicia's legs and the ref counts..] [..1..] [..2..] [..Kick Out!] [Acid gets to her feet, stunned that Felicia refuses to stay down. She picks up Felicia and whips her to the turnbuckle. She then charges forward looking for a spear on Felicia in the corner, but Felicia dodges it and Acid is left charging shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Acid stumbles backwards and Felicia puts her in a schoolboy roll-up!] [..1..] [..2..] [..Acid rolls out!] [Felicia clotheslines Acid down as soon as she gets up and then throws her over to the corner. Felicia then props Acid up on the top turnbuckle and runs off the opposite ropes, then back to the ones near Acid, jumps up on the top rope like she is going for a lion sault, but then propels herself over to the corner where Acid is sitting and gives her a hurricanrama off the top rope. Acid lies on the mat, obviously hurt. Felicia then goes to the ring apron and gives Acid the 'Philly Hit'! Felicia then covers Acid ..] [..1..] [..2..] [..Kick Out!] [Felicia is fuming! She can't believe that Acid has kicked out of the 'Philly Hit'. She's even more surprised when Acid jumps to her feet, grabs Felicia by the hair and gives her a DDT! The Crowd go wild as Acid signals them with the 'Jovi and runs into the ropes, bounces, runs to the other side, jumping over Felicia, and using the second rope as a spring, performs the 'Soul Fly' onto Felicia. Acid goes for the cover, but breaks it before Dennis Morgan can even start counting..] MOSHER: "What is she doing?! Cover her, Acid! End this!" MEXICAN: "Aye carumba!" [Acid gives a sadistic smile. She's not finished with Felicia yet. Acid dives out of the ring, goes underneath and pulls out a ten-foot long ladder! She shoves it into the ring and sets it up.] MOSHER: "What is she doing?!" MEXICAN: "I think she's ending it.." [Acid ascends the ladder, the crowd cheering her on. She gets to the top, signals the crowd once more with the Jovi, before performing 'Acid Burnz' off the top of the ladder. The impact is phenomenal! The crowd roar with approval.] MOSHER: "ACID BURNZ! ACID BURNZ! ACID BURNZ FROM THE TOP OF THAT LADDER!" MEXICAN: "This is too much! That chica- she's insane!" [Felicia is very much worse for wear as Acid goes for the cover..] [..1..] [..2..] [..3!!!] [DING! DING! DING!] TUCK: "Winner of the match and the NEW CWF Women's Champion ..ACID!!! [Acid, exhausted and sore from the 'Acid Burnz' struggles to her feet and receives the Women's belt from Dennis Morgan. The CWF VP holds it above her head and the crowd cheers as 'Left Behind' plays in the background. Acid kisses the belt and slides out of the ring and begins her march of victory up the ramp, giving high fives to random members of the crowd. In the ring, Felicia is struggling to focus, but her gaze is on Acid and it's full of contempt.]
[Backstage, Gavin Jones is in the locker room of Andrew McMartyn, standing with the man who will face CWF Trainer and ex-federation superstar “DSP” Pete Nancollis later in the night at Shindig Slam. Andrew looks calm and confident, and is chewing a piece of gum arrogantly as Gav attempts to interview him.] GAV: “Andrew, any thoughts on your upcoming match tonight with Pete Nancollis? Certainly it can be said that you’re going into the match tonight with the upper hand, after you took out both Pete Nancollis and Ruth last Thursday Night on Redemption …” ANDREW: “Gav, get with the programme you grinning retard- Andrew McMartyn goes into EVERY match with the upper hand. But yes, I did take out Pete last week, and I made him tap too, how many people can say they’ve done that? And Ruth? Just another do-gooding little wench I’m only too happy to put in her place. Some people might have criticised my actions over the past couple of weeks- I call it “tough management”. To run a successful business, your employees must respect you. And if they don’t, you’ll just have to BEAT some respect into them. Tonight, I’m going to put Pete Nancollis back where he belongs- in the God damn history books! Ol’ DSP may be a teacher around here … but you know Gav?” GAV: “Uh … what?” ANDREW: “I was NEVER the teacher’s pet …” [Andrew McMartyn struts off, the personification of confidence as he gets set to take on the CWF Legend DSP Pete Nancollis…]
THEATRE OF PAIN MATCH Blue Flash vs Damian Ali [The scene starts with a shot of the McMartyntron. In front of the giant screen a replica of the Theatre of Pain nightclub has just been assembled. Three brick walls, each with a first story balcony, and the main entrance leading under the big screen. There are scaffolding structures on each side, supporting the walls, also allowing easy access to the balconies. Adorning the brick walls are various weapons, hooked onto it. Kendo sticks, bin lids, stop signs and the like. The set is illuminated by several strong red spotlights. In the centre, like a gaping maw, is the pit. Lined with barbed wire, almost five feet in diameter.] MOSHER: "Would you look at that, Mexican?! Scary, huh?!" MEXICAN: "There's no way you'd get me in some match like this!" [Presently, Mr Tuck enters the ring.] TUCK: "This is a Theatre of Pain match. The rules are as follows; the match only ends when one person is thrown into the pit, located in the centre of the Theatre of Pain set under the McMartyntron. All hardcore weapons are legal. All other hardcore rules apply." [A loud, female scream.] TUCK: "First, weighing 256lbs, DAMIAN ALI!" ["Seek and Destroy" starts up. Damian Ali himself stalks out into the middle of the ToP set atop the ramp. He jeers to the crowd, but they just jeer back even more loudly. Damian gazes around him at the familiar nightclub, a dark smile on his face.] MOSHER: "Listen to those fans, Mexican, they really don't like Ali!" MEXICAN: "They'll be real upset when he destroys Blue Flash then, huh amigo?" [Ali continues his path to the ring. He climbs the ring steps and ducks under the top rope. No referee is present, as there is no need for one. Damian paces the ring, waiting for his opponent. There is no real reason to start in the ring, but it seems as good a place as any.] TUCK: "And his opponent, weighing 210lbs, THE BLUE FLASH!" ["Flash" hits the PA next. The Blue Flash makes his entrance. When he comes into view, the arena as a whole rises to its feet. A gigantic pop goes up as Blue Flash runs to the front of the stage and strikes a pose with his hands on his hips. The ToP background makes him look quite dramatic. Nonetheless, he carries on sprinting to the ring. He dives under the ropes and bounces to his feet.] MOSHER: "What an ovation! The people really love The Blue Flash!" MEXICAN: "Then they're making a pretty big mistake, gringo!" [Flash and Ali stare venomously at one another. As Flash's music fades away, the bell is rung, signalling the official start of the match.] MOSHER: "This should be one brutal melee!" [The men lock up. Damian appears stronger and shoves Flash to the canvas. Blue Flash leaps to his feet, totally unharmed. He mocks Ali, who gets annoyed by his opponent's erratic antics. They tie up again. This time, Ali locks on a Hammerlock. Flash easily counters into an Armwringer. Ali counters and flips Flash off his feet. The superhero, however, twists out of Ali's grip. Once more he bounds to his feet and mocks Ali again. This frustrates the former hardcore champion even more.] MOSHER: "Blue Flash really doesn't seem to be taking this too seriously! He's really ticking off Damian Ali!" MEXICAN: "That's not a very hot idea! He's gonna regret it pretty soon!" [Ali tries throwing a punch, however, Flash blocks him. He nails Ali with a hard blow, then whips him to the ropes. Flash sends Damian toppling over the top rope with a front dropkick.] MOSHER: "Damian Ali sent outside!" MEXICAN: "I guess the ring ain't big enough for the two of them, huh amigo?!" [Flash swiftly climbs out of the ring to keep up his attack. He pulls Ali to his feet, before bouncing his head off some steel ring steps. Flash then whips Damian, sending him running right into a security barrier. Ali bounces off and flops to the floor. Flash ducks under the ring and re-emerges armed with a bin lid. He strides over to where Damian Ali is struggling to his feet. Flash raises the weapon to strike, but Ali catches him with a leg sweep. Flash topples backwards, his head hitting the bin lid he was holding.] MOSHER: "Ali was playing possum!" MEXICAN: "Blue Flash isn't serious enough to win this!" [As Flash lies holding his head, Damian Ali uses the time to recover. He pulls Flash back up, then drops him with a Double Arm DDT.] MOSHER: "Damian Ali is taking the advantage, now!" [He pulls Flash back to his feet and leads him up the ramp, towards the Theatre of Pain set. However, before they reach it, Flash recovers. He jabs Ali in the ribs, then hits a Scoop Slam on the hard metal ramp.] MOSHER: "No, now Flash is back control!" [He pulls Ali up and leads him towards the ToP set. Flash drags Ali towards the pit in the centre, but before he can try to throw him in, Ali trips up Flash. The superhero falls face first into the hard floor. Ali heads over to the nearest wall and plucks off a 2x4 wrapped in razor wire. He strolls back over to the stunned Flash, leering over him. In the sinister red glow on the set, Ali could be mistaken for Satan himself. He smiles briefly, before bringing his barbed weapon down on Flash's back. Blue Flash writhes in pain, his outfit visibly ripped and shredded. Ali continues to pummel him with the weapon for a while, then discards it.] MEXICAN: "That's what this match is all about, gringo!" MOSHER: "Blue Flash's back is already bloody mess! This is going to be one gory battle!" [Ali wanders back over to the wall and plucks off another item. This time he gets a solid lead pipe. Flash, meanwhile, staggers to his feet. The red lighting prevents us from seeing how badly hurt he is, but his outfit is in tatters on his back. He slowly turns to look for Ali, locating him just in time to eat a pipe shot to the head. Flash falls backwards, his face now bleeding as well. Ali drops the pipe. He reaches down and pulls Flash to his feet. He positions the superhero to throw him into the pit, but Flash blocks. He sticks one foot into the back of Ali's knee. Flash quickly capitalises, hitting a reverse DDT. Flash staggers back to his feet, looking pretty well worn. He stumbles towards one of the walls adorned with weapons. He plucks off a stop sign.] MOSHER: "That was a close call for Blue Flash! He was nearly in that pit!" MEXICAN: "He can't afford to do that too many times!" [Flash bashes Ali with his sign, creating a loud clang. Ali crumples to the floor. Flash bashes him again for good measure, then tosses aside the sign. He acquires a kendo stick, also wrapped in barbed wire. As he stalks back over to Damian and raises his stick over his head, Ali also stands up, now armed with the 2x4. They both club one another simultaneously. Both men stagger back several steps, but both stay standing. Both charge one another again, swinging their weapons. Flash, however, changes target. He aims low, taking out Damian's legs as he runs. Ali is unprepared for this, and topples forward, landing on his own barbed weapon.] MOSHER: "What a shot! Flash caught him totally off guard with that one!" [Ali staggers up again, his chest now shredded and bleeding. The red lighting makes it very hard to tell how hurt either man is, but the dark pools of liquid spread about the stage gives some indication.] MEXICAN: "These guys have lost so much blood! How long can they keep doing this?!" [Flash sees Ali back up, so he floors him with a mighty overhead swing. Ali falls flat, unmoving. Flash, tiredly, drops his stick by his side. He stares down at Ali, then looks up at the balcony beside him. He grins, slowly. The superhero wanders roung behind the wall and starts climbing up the scaffolding supporting the set. He vanishes behind the wall for a short time, then reappears on the balcony, about twenty feet in the air. He strikes a heroic pose for his fans. In the red glow, Flash looks quite serious once more. He steps onto the edge, and lines himself up with Ali's prone form.] MOSHER: "What is he planning?! He can't possibly mean to jump!!" MEXICAN: "He's a crazy man! Security should stop him before senor Ali gets seriously hurt!" [Flash takes a deep breath, rolls his shoulders, then leaps off the structure.] MOSHER: "OH MY GOD! BLUE FLASH SPLASH TWENTY FEET IN THE AIR!" [Flash sails gracefully through the air, spinning as he does, before landing with an almighty whumph. Unfortunately for Flash, Ali is no longer in the correct location. The manic superhero lies twitching on the cold, hard floor. A few feet away, Damian Ali struggles to force himself to stand.] MOSHER: "NO! HE MISSED! BLUE FLASH JUST DESTROYED HIMSELF!" MEXICAN: "THAT CRAZY GRINGO! WHY DID HE DO THAT?!" [Damian Ali looks at the convulsing Blue Flash lying before. He stares for several seconds, then throws his head back and laughs out loud. Ali grabs Flash by the hair and stands him at the lip of the wire pit. Blue Flash in completely stoned. Despite being standing, he is dazed. He wobbles erratically. Ali takes several steps back, then performs a running Yakuza kick.] MOSHER: "INCREDIBLE! ALI JUST KICKED FLASH INTO THAT LETHAL PIT!" MEXICAN: "HE DID IT! I KNEW SENOR ALI COULD WIN!" [Flash tumbles as though in slow motion. His shoulders fall back and his feet fly into the air. Flash drops headfirst into a maze of barbed wire. The bell is rung. As "Seek and Destroy" starts up, the lights on the set become normal, and the extent of the damage can be seen. Ali's front is stained a dark brown from the dried blood. His clothes are all ripped and frayed. The stage all around the area is covered in blood splatters. Blue Flash, however, is in worse condition. He is coloured bright red, head to toe. His entire outfit is ripped apart, barely covering him any longer. The wire in the pit is tangled around his arms, legs and torso. As he struggles to free himself, he only causes more lacerations. Ali stands at the edge of the pit, looking at the helplessly trapped Flash tearing himself apart. Damian stands for a while, smiling evilly at the damage he has caused, before he simply walks away and vanishes backstage.] MOSHER: "Ali is really messed up! Did you see how he enjoyed seeing Flash get hurt! Sick!" [As the match comes to a finish, a group of EMTs gather around the pit and raise Flash from mass of cutting wire. They lay the red, dripping being on a stretcher, immediately staining the white fabric to pink, then carry him backstage as a force of CWF techs start moving and deconstructing the Theatre of Pain mock up that has just housed this brutal fight.]
[A huge boo can be heard from the arena as we go backstage; CWF Interviewer Emma is standing next to the Chairman of the company, Clive R. McMartyn. Dressed in one of his best suits for the Pay Per View, McMartyn stands over Emma sternly as the short, round interviewer waves her microphone in his direction. Emma seems pretty distraught for some reason, and the tone in her voice hints at anger as she questions the CWF President.] EMMA: “Mr McMartyn, time is rapidly running out as we near the much anticipated Main Event tonight between two Icons of the CWF- World Champion Phil Leach and living legend ‘The Huckster’. We saw this past week that there appears to be some appreciation on your part towards the challenger, first helping him defeat Damian Ali and then applauding his attack on Phil at the end of Redemption. And to make matters worse, my Phil just got attacked out the back by YOUR henchmen, Ingham and Quarterman. They must have knocked Phil silly, because for some reason he’s refusing to let me go in and see him! Why Mr McMartyn, did you order that attack on Phil?!?” MCMARTYN: “Oh Emma, how short-sighted of you to automatically assume I would be behind such a heinous act. Certainly, I authorised that assault by Mr Ingham and Mr Quarterman, but I was not the one who master minded that plan. Oh no, all the credit just has to go to a man I greatly admire, ‘The Huckster’ Bob Jones.” EMMA: “Bob?!! No, surely not! The Huckster wouldn’t think of doing something like that to my Phil!!” MCMARTYN: “Well just ask yourself Emma, what has The Huckster got to lose? Nothing- and he has everything to gain! Tonight at Shindig Slam, the entire CWF is going to find out what a wise business decision Mr Jones has made …” [A wicked smile on his face, the CWF Chairman swaggers off down the corridor, leaving Emma looking worried.]
ANDREW MCMARTYN VS ‘DSP’ PETE NANCOLLIS Referee: Sid Jefferies [The lights go down in the arena, swathing the building in a blue light as the familiar sound of “Control” elicits the usual rafter shaking heat reserved for a member of the McMartyn family. Andrew McMartyn marches out onto the entrance ramp, the glamorous Natasha following at his heels, dressed in a long and clinging red dress.] TUCK: “The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, accompanied by Natasha, from Newport Wales, weighing in at 220 lbs, ANDREW MCMARTYN!!” MEXICAN: “Woah! Look at the expression on Andrew McMartyn’s face, essa! He’s ready to dish out some punishment!” MOSHER: “Well, Andrew has certainly been displaying a meaner attitude of late- his attacks against the staff of the CWF have won him little praise…” [A contorted look of nastiness on his face, the younger McMartyn climbs into the ring and begins warming up in anticipation of his upcoming battle, Natasha looking on from the outside. “Control” ends and a new theme starts to play- “Lethal Weapon”.] TUCK: “… And his opponent, ‘DSP’ PETE NANCOLLIS!” [The former CWF Champion receives a loud welcome as he strides purposefully towards the squared circle, a stern and unforgiving expression on his face. Dressed in his old combat outfit of Gi training trousers and a dark blue top, Pete Nancollis steps into the ring and adjusts his wrist tapings, all the while staring impassively across the ring at his opponent. “Lethal Weapon” comes to an end and the ring bell sounds. The crowd buzzes as the two CWF veterans begin to circle one another.] MOSHER: “This will be one for the ages!” MEXICAN: “The question is, Capataino, are the skills of one DSP up to scratch? How much ring rust will Pete have, essa?” [The two men lock up in a front grapple and Andrew quickly slides behind his opponent, going down and sweeping DSP’s legs right out from under him! Pete hits the mat with a thump, and Andrew struts over to the other side of the ring, whooping in celebration that he has gained the initial advantage. Andrew turns back around, and is floored by a massive jumping Wheel kick from Pete Nancollis! The crowd cheers raucously as Andrew is smashed to the mat, but the Co-Owner quickly scrabbles up to his feet, only to be met with some stiff right hooks from his opponent. Pete whips Andrew across the ring, and drills him to the mat with a huge Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Andrew howls from the impact, and rolls quickly to the outside of the ring.] MOSHER: “Mexican, I see NO ring rust whatsoever from Pete Nancollis here! Obviously training those young superstars keeps him on his toes!” [Andrew eventually climbs back onto the ring apron, but refuses to get in. As Pete heads towards him Andrew lashes out with a surprise right hand- which is skilfully blocked by DSP. Pete hooks onto Andrew and lifts him up with a Suplex, bringing McMartyn back into the ring the hard way! Andrew staggers up, and Pete locks on an Octopus Stretch- the submissions master has already begun to dissect his opponent! Andrew yells out as his body is pulling apart, and drops to the mat as Pete relinquishes the hold. Pete locks on a Neck Wrench, but Andrew rakes frantically at his face and breaks the hold. As Pete grabs at his face in pain, Andrew floors him with a quick Knee Lift. McMartyn crouches down and begins choking his foe viciously, turning Pete purple until Sid Jefferies forces him to release the hold with a 5 count. Andrew does so, but goes right back to choking Pete. Sid Jefferies angrily admonishes the rule breaker, but Andrew merely snarls at the official and picks up Pete, giving him a hard Snap Suplex. McMartyn drops a knee onto Pete’s throat and covers for the pin, but Pete kicks out just before the two. Andrew locks on a Sleeper Hold, and DSP’s eyelids begin to grow heavy.] MEXICAN: “Haha! Submissiona! Whatever Pete Nancollis can do, Andrew McMartyn can do a hundred times better!” [With the fan’s support, Pete courageously fights out of the hold, elbowing Andrew in the ribs until he finally is forced to break the Sleeper. A whip sends McMartyn to the ropes, and Pete nails his opponent with a Powerslam. Andrew gets to his feet, and Pete dishes out an effective Short-Arm Clothesline. Pete scoops up Andrew and hits a Vertical Suplex, then floatovers for the cover- 1 … 2 … Kickout. DSP blasts Andrew with a Savate Kick, knocking him across the ring. As Pete charges him to follow up the attack, Andrew McMartyn catches him by surprise with a Hurricanrana. McMartyn flips Pete over his head, but Pete rolls through the attack and pins Andrew’s shoulders to the mat- 1 … 2 … No! Andrew reverses the pin, rolling Pete’s shoulders to the canvas- 1 … 2 … No! Pete reverses again, but this time ensnares his foe in a ground Abdominal Stretch! Andrew cries out again as he is yanked limb from limb, but won’t give up.] MOSHER: “It looks as though Pete Nancollis is keeping up to step with everything that Andrew McMartyn does! These two are very evenly matched, Mexican!” [Pete shows off his Martial Arts skills, knocking Andrew back into one of the corners with a succession of swift but powerful kicks to the legs and body. As Andrew slumps in the corner, Pete knocks him to the mat with a hard throat thrust. Pete lashes out with a big Roundhouse kick, but Andrew McMartyn ducks at the last second and scrambles to escape the ring once again. This time however, Pete gives chase, catching up with his prey and delivering some hard punches to Andrew, knocking him against the crowd barricade. Pete charges, but Andrew manages to Monkey Toss him over the barricade and to the arena floor! The fans boo as Pete is hurled into their midst, and rather than brave the common folk Andrew McMartyn elects to Suplex DSP back over the barricade and to the thinly matted ringside ground. Andrew picks Pete up and goes to smash his head into the announce table, but DSP blocks, and returns the favour by ramming Andrew’s skull into the wood. The CWF Co-Owner stumbles backwards, and Pete blasts him with a hard chop to the chest. DSP then whips Andrew diagonally across the ringside area, but McMartyn counters, and sends Pete hurtling shoulder first into the ring post! Pete’s arm wraps around the metal pole horribly, and the fans gasp as the post clangs upon impact. With a glint in his eye, Andrew McMartyn spots Pete’s arm entangled around the post and grabs a steel chair from behind the timekeeper’s table.] MEXICAN: “Excellente!” MOSHER: “No, come on! Ref, get that chair off- GOOD GOD!” [With all his might, Andrew swings the steel chair and smashes it across Pete’s exposed arm, crushing the limb between the chair and the ring post. Pete screams in agony as Sid Jefferies angrily pulls the chair away from Andrew McMartyn, but the damage has already been done. Andrew coolly untangles his opponent from the ring post and pushes him back into the ring. Now back inside the scared circle, Andrew immediately goes to work on Pete’s arm, stomping down on it with hard and vicious boots. Andrew pulls Pete up and delivers a Russian Leg Sweep, then drops a leg across Pete’s arm and goes for the cover. 1 … 2 … Kickout! Pulling Pete to his feet, Andrew continues his onslaught with some hard Knee Strikes to the injured arm. Whipping Pete to the ropes Andrew delivers a Northern Lights Suplex- 1 … 2 … Kickout!] MOSHER: “Give credit to Pete Nancollis- he must be in terrible pain from that chair-shot but he still hasn’t given up!” [Andrew McMartyn whips Pete to the ropes for a second time, but DSP gets a knee into his midsection and halts an attempted Belly-to-Belly Suplex. As Andrew grabs his stomach, Nancollis bowls him over with a big Roundhouse Kick. Andrew staggers up and Pete hits a textbook Dragon Suplex, bridging it into the pin- 1 … 2 … No! Andrew McMartyn escapes at the very last moment. The fans gasp for breath as the battle continues, and as Andrew tries to regain his feet Pete runs to the ropes and floors him with a Spinning Wheel kick right to the face. As he lands however, Pete’s injured arm folds up beneath his body, causing the trainer to yelp in pain. Like a shark that smells blood, Andrew McMartyn charges him, but Pete hits a Monkey Flip to create some space between him and his opponent. DSP looks for a front Judo Slam, but Andrew sneakily blasts him with a low blow and hits a Jumping Armbreaker.] MEXICAN: “Ouch! That could have broken that arm!” [Andrew mockingly taunts Pete as he stumbles to his feet, allowing Pete to attempt to swing at him. Andrew easily dodges the blow, and hits a Back Drop Pin- 1 … 2 … Kickout. Andrew’s patience seems to be waning as Pete repeatedly kicks out, and as DSP struggles to his feet Andrew viciously kicks the trainer’s legs from under him. Andrew bad-temperedly slams his opponent to the mat with an STO, then climbs the ring ropes to a loud jeering from the crowd. With a flamboyant shout, Andrew launches himself backwards off the top rope, executing a beautiful gliding Moonsault … which misses! The crowd cheers loudly as Pete Nancollis rolls to one side and Andrew spectacularly crashes to the mat. As Andrew tries to recover, Pete slowly pulls himself up and himself mounts the second rope!] MOSHER: “Pete Nancollis not known for his high flying antics Mexican!” [DSP leaps off the second rope and catches Andrew McMartyn’s neck in mid-air, hitting a massive Flipping Neckbreaker! Both competitors shudder as the big-time move sends them both crashing to the mat. Pete slowly crawls over to the knocked out McMartyn and drapes an arm over him- 1 … 2 … Kickout! There is a gasp as Andrew somehow manages to kick out of the huge Neckbreaker manoeuvre. Undeterred, Pete hits a Judo Slam then clamps on a Bow and Arrow Lock! Andrew squeals as Pete lifts him up into the air and pulls back on his limbs, but is lucky to be released quickly- Pete’s injured arm cannot stand the pressure of supporting Andrew’s body weight and the CWF trainer has to break the submission. Pete Nancollis instead goes for a German Suplex, but Andrew McMartyn kicks back and strikes DSP in the groin. Pete staggers around from the effects of Andrew’s low blow. McMartyn jumps at his opponent and takes Pete down with a Jumping Armbar! The crowd jeers wildly as Pete screams out under the torque put on his limb.] MEXICAN: “Andrew McMartyn is a genius, essa! Not only is he increasing the damage that chair shot did on DSP’s arm, he’s making sure that arm is too injured to put on that Secret Squirrel! MOSHER: “A very wise strategy indeed!” [Andrew wrenches back maniacally on Pete’s arm, but DSP slowly crawls towards the ropes, reaching out and grabbing hold of them after an agonisingly long length of time in the hold. He staggers to his feet but Andrew is already sizing the trainer up, blasting him with one left jab, and then another, all the while shuffling around like a boxing pro. With a loud “Woo!” Andrew launches a strong right hook at his opponent, but to the crowd’s delight Pete blocks at the last second, and hits his 3D- the Daring Death Dance! Andrew judders with every punch landed, and sways unsteadily on his feet as Pete shows off a little fancy footwork of his own! A huge Haymaker punch floors McMartyn outright, and Pete covers his fallen foe- 1 … … 2 … … Kickout! Amazingly, Andrew escapes Pete’s renowned combo!] MEXICAN: “Ha! Even the Daring Death Dance couldn’t finish off Andrew!” [A nervous Pete now waits for McMartyn to climb to his feet. As he does, Pete locks on the Secret Squirrel! The crowd pops big time, but Pete’s injured arm means he is unable to properly lock on the submission, and Andrew escapes with an elbow to the face! As Pete stumbles back Andrew swings around and kicks him in the stomach- Final Solution! No! As Andrew goes to hook the arms, Pete Back Body Drops him over his head and back. Andrew however, lands on his feet behind DSP and quickly turns around. McMartyn dives for Pete’s legs and drags him to the mat, clamping on his trademark Anklelock!! The crowd pops big time, even though it is Andrew’s move, and Pete Nancollis is strung out across the ring in pain, as Andrew tears back on his ankle furiously, yelling at the top of his voice. Pete is miles away from any of the ropes, trapped by Andrew McMartyn in the very centre of the ring.] MOSHER: “Andrew McMartyn has the Anklelock clamped on Pete Nancollis … the question is, will either of these men be able to swallow their pride and tap out?” MEXICAN: “Oh, you saw it on Redemption Capataino, Andrew McMartyn had that Anklelock on both Pete Nancollis and Ruth. And what did the great Pete do? He tapped, essa!” [Back in the ring, Pete Nancollis is in agony as Andrew continues to bring to bear the immense pressure on his foot and ankle. As the crowd’s energy spurs him on, Pete struggles up to one knee, then one foot, then turns around … Andrew has a shocked look on his face, but still holds on to Pete’s ankle, contorting visibly under the pressure. With a burst of adrenaline, Pete counters the Anklelock with an Enzirguri! Rapturous cheering echoes around the arena, but both men slump to the canvas- Andrew from the hard shot to the back of his head, Pete from the effort required to escape the Anklelock. Trying to shake the cobwebs free, Andrew McMartyn signals to his valet Natasha. The attractive young woman hurries and picks up the steel chair Andrew employed earlier, and slides it into a corner of the ring undetected by the official. Natasha then steps up onto the apron and attracts the attention of Sid Jefferies, who runs over in an attempt to remove her from the side of the ring. Meanwhile, Andrew slyly rolls over to the steel chair and grabs it. As both men stagger to their feet, Andrew uses the weapon to smash right across the arm of Pete!] MOSHER: “Good God! Turn around, referee!” MEXICAN: “It’s all over for Senor Nancollis now I am thinking! Hey … who the Hell is that?!” [Andrew is standing dominantly over his fallen foe, who has curled up in a near foetal position, clutching at his shattered arm. As Andrew is raising the steel chair to strike again, CWF raod agent and trainer Ruth Bowen hurries down to the ring. The crowd pops loudly as Ruth grabs the ankles of Natasha and yanks the valet off the ring apron! As Natasha crumbles to the arena floor, Ruth jumps onto the ring apron herself and points to behind the referee frantically. Sid Jefferies spins around and grabs the steel chair from Andrew McMartyn just as he goes to crown Pete for good. As Jefferies hurls the weapon to the outside Ruth goes to climb back down off the apron, but a furious Andrew rushes over and grabs her by the hair. There is loud booing as McMartyn flips the trainer over the top rope and into the ring. Ruth shrinks back in fear as Andrew stands over her and pulls her off the canvas.] MOSHER: “You monster! Leave that woman alone!” [Andrew roughly thrusts Ruth between his knees, and hooks her arms behind her back- Andrew McMartyn is planning to Final Solution the helpless Ruth! With the last ounce of energy in his body, DSP Pete Nancollis launches himself at Andrew, blasting McMartyn in the face with a Roundhouse Kick and knocking him to the ground. Ruth crumples to the mat as Andrew is made to release her from his grasp. The crowd buzzes as both competitors struggle to find the strength to get back to their feet. Andrew is up first, and once again grabs Ruth by the hair and pulls her up, ignoring the presence of his actual opponent. This time however, Ruth fights back, thrusting her arm upwards with all her might and nailing Andrew McMartyn right in the groin! Andrew howls in pain and staggers forwards from the blow, stumbling right into the Secret Squirrel! An exhausted Pete clamps on his big submission manoeuvre, inflicting even more damage to Andrew’s private area. Trapped in the deadliest submission move in the business, Andrew McMartyn taps out! The bell rings as Andrew continues to tap crazily- Pete Nancollis has defeated Andrew McMartyn!] TUCK: “Here is your winner- PETE NANCOLLIS!!!” [“Lethal Weapon” hits as a shattered Pete slowly rolls out of the ring to recover. Ruth Bowen rolls to the outside also, and rewards the victor with a huge hug. Together, the two friends make their way up the ramp to loud cheering, reuniting with an ecstatic Arranboy and Eddie Jones halfway up to the stage. The four trainers celebrate together, raising Pete’s arms aloft in triumph. In the ring, Andrew McMartyn lies defeated on the canvas, watching the quartet celebrate with an expression of utter hatred on his face.] MEXICAN: “This is terrible!” MOSHER: “Finally, Redemption for Pete Nancollis and the other staff members of the CWF, as a returning DSP gives up retirement for one night to teach Andrew McMartyn a lesson he’ll never forget! What an amazing war we’ve witnessed tonight, here at CWF Shindig Slam!”
[The scene opens abruptly with a view of CWF interviewer grinning into the camera lens.] EMMA: "Hiya! I'm Emma!" [She steps back, allowing a view of the background. There is only a plain black curtain bearing a large CWF logo. In front of this, however, stands a man. The legend known as "The Huckster". He is wearing the old school red and yellow get up that we are so used to seeing, but also with some silver visible as an extra PPV effort. For some reason, he is also wearing some long strips of red, yellow and silver tinsel around his neck. "The Huckster" is stood with his hands on his hips, looking down at his feet. Emma waddles into view, moving to stand beside Bob. She turns back to the camera. Before she has chance to speak, cheering is heard from the ring. Unusually, a couple of boos are actually noticeable.] EMMA: "Hello! This is Bob! Say 'hi' Bob!" [Bob looks up and glares at the camera. He then turns to glower at Emma.] EMMA: "Bob! Say 'hello'! Go on! Be nice!" [Bob grimaces, then snatches the mic from Emma's puny grasp. He shoves his finger in Emma's face, pointing right between her eyes. He speaks with a cold, menacing tone that even silences the jabbering Emma.] HUCKSTER: "YOU be quiet, NOW! If you speak another syllable, I WILL break your head with that camera, GOT IT?!" [Emma nods slowly, eyes wide in fear.] HUCKSTER: "Well done." [He pats her partronisingly on the head, then shoves her to the side, out of view. Bob steps towards the camera, taking up the whole shot. He speaks in a more subdued manner than usual, lacking his normal enthusiasm and energy.] HUCKSTER: "Hey there, 'Huckster' here. I know all my little 'Huckamaniacs' are out there listening. I also know that some of you think 'The Huckster' has turned his back on you. Well, think again! I swear I had no part in any of McMartyn's doing! Hell will freeze over before 'The Huckster' and Clive McMartyn are on the same team!" [Emma, sheepishly, attempts to get back into the shot, but Bob raises his fist threateningly, causing her to back off.] HUCKSTER: "But enough about that old pile of pond scum, Clive McMartyn! 'The Huckster' isn't here to talk about compost like that! There are more important things to think of, tonight! 'The Huckster' is talking about the CWF championship, and, of course, the CWF champion! Tonight I am gonna step into that ring and face the man who is known as 'The Man'! When I do, the greatest prize in the business will be up for grabs! Whoever holds that title is the best! But to BE the best, you gotta BEAT the best! Now, 'The Huckster' knows he can be the best! I've been beating the best my whole career! But 'The Huckster' has never had so much at stake as in this match! For the last few weeks 'The Huckster' and 'The Man' have been looking out for one another! Watching each other's backs! We had a sacred trust! The trust between heroes! Phil broke that trust! He pissed on 'The Huckster's' principles and spat on the people that believed in him most! 'The Huckster' can't let that slide, brother! I forgive you for laying out 'The Huckster', but what I can't forgive you for letting down all those little 'Huckamaniacs' out there! The second you choose to turn your back on the fans is the moment you no longer deserve to be called a champion! 'The Huckster' is sorry that it's come to this, but I will do what I have to do! You've left me no choice." [With his final emotional statement, Bob hands the mic solemnly back to Emma. The excited pink mass is about to start yammering at him, but he shoots her a fearsome look that makes her think again. He stalks away, off camera shot, leaving Emma staring after him].
#1 Contenders Match (No Holds Barred) Dan Jones vs Kyle Reece Referee: Phil James MOSHER: "This is bound to be great as these two competitors face off against each other in this No Holds Barred contest. They're fighting for the right to face the champion on Tuesday Night!" [There's a flash of white light as the opening riffs to 'Left Behind' scream out over the arena. The arena lightens up slightly as from the curtain emerges Acid. She strides confidently down the ramp. The VP heads over to the crowd barricade at ringside and climbs over with the help of a security guard on the other side. She sits down in a seat marked reserved next to an overjoyed fan and waits patiently for the match to start.] MEXICAN: "What about the 'unofficial' stipulations, amigo?" MOSHER: "Of course! The main factor in this is of course the CWF VP, Acid! Acid being Dan Jones's business partner and Kyle Reece's object of affection. Both men have this young lady on the line here, but who will earn the ladies respect at the end of it all?" MEXICAN: "Enough with all this talk of soppy proportions, essa! I'm gonna be sick!" TUCK: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall and will determine the #1 Contender for the CWF Championship! Introducing first, from New York City, weighing in at 215lbs… KYLE REECE!!!" ['Give me fuel! Give me fire! Give me that which I desire!' Red and orange pyrotechnics explode as Kyle Reece makes his way through the crowd. He climbs over the barrier and then into the ring. He sheds his coat and quickly glances at Acid, winking at her. He then starts psyching himself up.] TUCK: "And his opponent, from Bristol, weighing in at 231lbs… DAN JONES!!!" [The arena becomes dark. As the music begins, and the volume rises, the ramp and entrance are shrouded in smoke and lit by a blue glow. As the actual song starts, several pyros burn at the sides of the entryway, and Dan appears. There is a mixed fan response as he strolls to the ring at a leisurely pace. He takes his time mounting the ring steps, and paces about the ring for a few moments, before his music dies and the lights return. Both Reece and Jones walk to the centre of the ring. Reece extends his hand to offer Dan Jones a respectful handshake. Jones stares at the hand extended in front of him, and takes it reluctantly. The two men shake. Acid smiles, obviously surprised at this display of good sportsmanship.] MEXICAN: "Wait a minute! This isn't how this is supposed to start! Go on Dan! Kick his ass, essa!" MOSHER: "Reece is obviously saying 'may the best man win.'" [The handshake ends and Jones lets go, but Reece doesn't and lays out Wildwith a clothesline! Reece then gives Jones an elbow drop! Referee Phil Jefferies calls for the bell.] [DING! DING! DING!] MOSHER: "How long has Jones been in this business and still he falls for a rookie mistake?" [Reece lifts Jones up and starts chopping at his chest. Jones stumbles backwards into the ropes and Reece whips him to the opposite ropes and bends down on Jones's return for a back body drop, but Jones sees this and stops, kicking Reece hard in the chest. Jones then dropkicks Reece and Reece staggers backwards and topples through the ropes. Reece lands with a crash on the mat and is highly embarrassed. Acid winces as she sees this. He starts shouting at the fans on the front few rows while Jones taunts at Reece in the ring. Reece climbs the apron and Jones charges at him, but he ducks and gives Jones a shoulder thrust into the gut through the ropes. Reece then flips over the ropes and gives Jones a sunset flip into the ring..] [..1..] [..2..] [..Jones pushes out!] [Reece gets up and starts a flurry of punches on Jones knocking him into the corner. Reece then pulls Jones up to the top turnbuckle and goes for a superplex but Jones knees him in the crotch and Reece topples backwards off the turnbuckle landing on his back on the mat. Jones then watches Reece get back up and jumps off the turnbuckle with a hurricanrama! Reece crashes back down on the mat and Jones hops up as the crowd goes wild.] MOSHER: "Uncharacteristic move there by Dan Jones, but the crowd seemed to like it!" MEXICAN: "I think the chica over there was impressed too!" [Acid is indeed clapped her hands along with the crowd. Back in the ring, Jones pulls Reece up and whips him off the ropes and gives him a tilt-a-whirl slam. Jones is on a roll and climbs the top rope. He then signals to the crowd and gives Reece a huge elbow drop! Reece grabs his lungs trying to get air after Jones crushes them with a big elbow.] MOSHER: "Dan Jones is on fire!" [Jones gets up and waits for Reece to do the same. Jones puts Taylor in a powerbomb position, but Reece starts a fight back with a bunch of punches to the head of Jones and Jones eventually topples over backwards with Reece landing on top of him! Reece then gets up and grabs Jones helping him do the same. Reece then gives him a few shots to the face and then gives Jones a DDT and Jones bounces off the mat. Reece then watches Jones struggle to get up and rests against the turnbuckle, laughing at Dan Jones. Jones gets up and runs at Reece, but Reece gives him a hiptoss, downing Jones to the mat. Reece then starts choking Jones on the mat and the referee is forced to intervene. Reece backs away but as soon as Jones is up he goes behind him and gives him a german suplex onto the mat..] [..1..] [..2..] [..Jones kicks out!] [Jones rolls out the ring and tries to get his breath back, dazed from the last few moves by Reece. Reece is having none of it though and leaves the ring also, grabbing Jones and whipping him into the steel steps, nearly taking them apart. Reece then sees the announce table, and pulls a monitor from it. He then wields it back, and when Jones walks forward, Reece slams it across Jones's head, causing it to smash into pieces and Jones falls to the mat with blood seeping from his forehead.] MOSHER: "OUCH!" [Acid looks concerned for Dan as Reece drags him from the floor and beating his fist into the open wound left by the monitor. Reece then poses to the crowd when out of nowhere Dan Jones summons the strength to give Reece a low blow! Reece grabs at his crotch and falls to the mat, giving Jones precious time to recover. Jones and Reece get up at about the same time and Reece lunges at Jones, but Jones sidesteps out the way and gives Reece a drop toe hold right on the steel steps! Reece's face slams against the steel and he drops to the floor. Jones then gets the crowd hyped up by starting a chorus of clapping and he then gets Reece and pulls him across to the announce table, dragging him onto it. Jones then gets on himself and lifts Reece up, putting him between his legs, and giving Reece a powerbomb through the announce table! Jones then gets the crippled body of Kyle Reece and carries it over and pushes it through the ropes and into the ring. Jones then slides in the ring and covers him] [..1..] [..2..] [..Foot on the rope! Reece escapes defeat at the last minute!] [Dan Jones is shocked! He gets up, disappointed, but knows he is close and tries to finish off Reece once again. Dan Jones slowly climbs the top rope, but Reece is regaining strength and Reece gets to his feet, grabbing Jones's ankle and shaking it, causing Jones to fall down to the turnbuckle crotch first, for the second time in the match!] MEXICAN: "That won't be doing Dan Jones's sex appeal any good!" [Reece then slides out the ring and goes rummaging under the ring] MOSHER: "What the hell is he doing?" [Reece suddenly comes out from under the ring holding a 2x4. He climbs to the apron and smashes it across the back of Dan Jones's head. Jones falls, looking unconscious onto the mat. Reece then gets in the ring and pulls Jones up. Jones staggers around, looking as if he will fall while Reece grabs him and gives Dan Jones the 'Miltary Press.' Reece covers Dan Jones..] [..1..] [..2..] [..3!!!] TUCK: "Winner of the match and #1 contender for the CWF Championship…KYLE REECE!!!" [Acid smiles as Reece starts celebrating his victory over Dan, but at the same time is glancing at the bloodied Dan Jones lying on the canvas. The CWF VP gets up from her seat and begins to make her way towards the ring.] MOSHER: "Reece has done it! He's the #1 Contender for the title!" MEXICAN: "Oh no! I don't think Dan Jones will like that one bit!" [Jones rolls over and looks at Reece who is celebrating as his music plays. Jones struggles to get up. Apparently this isn't over in Jones's opinion. He gets to his feet and doesn't talk to the referee- he just gives him the 'Vampire's Kiss.' Jones then sneaks up behind Kyle Reece and gives him a clothesline from behind, much to the surprise of Acid and the crowd!] MOSHER: "Dan Jones looks hell bent on revenge for that beating Reece gave him." MEXICAN: "Oy!" [Reece topples out the ring after another clothesline from Dan Jones. Acid is nearby when Reece lands roughly on the outside. Jones goes to the outside, picks up and whips Kyle Reece into the steel steps. Jones then throws Reece back into the ring and goes looking underneath the ring for something. He returns a few seconds later with a chair. He throws in into the ring and climbs in. He looks at Reece, and looks to the outside at Acid. He then holds the chair up and looks out to the crowd... there is a mixed reaction…] [He wields back and CRACK!!! The sound of steel rings out as Dan Jones NAILS Kyle Reece with the chair!!! Jones lifts the chair up again to strike Reece with it once more…] MOSHER: "Dan, that's enough!" [Acid slides into the ring and grabs the chair from Dan's hands. She throws it to one side and Dan Jones glares at Acid with fury in his eyes. Acid starts shouting at Dan. No one can really tell what she's saying, but it's making Dan look more and more angry. Acid points to the ramp.] MOSHER: "Is Acid telling Dan to get out of the ring?" MEXICAN: "Is she insane?!" MOSHER: "Logic would say that the answer to that question is a big, fat yes!" [Dan is still not moving. Acid grabs the microphone from Ralph Tuck and gets in Dan's face again.] ACID: "Get the f*** out of here, Dan! NOW!!!" [Dan smiles, as if amused by this. He starts laughing. Acid's expression is fair from amused. Suddenly... SMACK! Acid slaps Dan Jones across the face!] MOSHER: "Did you see that?!" MEXICAN: "Me don't think that were wise!" [Dan stops laughing. He looks at Acid with evil eyes. Acid points to the ramp...] ACID: "Dan, I won't tell you again... F*** OFF!!!" [Dan, still fuming, climbs reluctantly out of the ring, jumps down off the ring apron and begins slowly walking up the ramp. Dan keeps walking and doesn't look back. Acid watches as Dan moves further and further away from the ring, but she doesn't notice Reece getting to his feet behind her. Reece approaches Acid from behind and taps her on the shoulder. Acid turns round. Reece has avery amourous expression on his face.] MOSHER: "Hello? What's going on here then?" [Acid looks confused. Suddenly, without any warning Kyle Reece kisses her!] MOSHER: "Are they kissing?! Yes, I think they are!" MEXICAN: "I think I'm gonna blow chunks!" [The crowd go wild and start cheering for the couple kissing in the middle of the squared circle. Suddenly, Kyle Reece falls back on the canvas, yelling in pain and shielding his crotch! The camera pans in on Acid who is not very happy at all! Acid kicks Reece in the groin again and grabs the mic from the mat... ACID: "Never without my permission!" MOSHER: "What a turnaround! I never expected this!" MEXICAN: "I don't suppose Reece did either! Looks like he won't be getting any tonight..." ['Left Behind' plays as Acid drops the mic and climbs out of the ring leaving a heartbroken Kyle Reece lying on the mat. Dan Jones is standing at the top of the ramp laughing his head off. As Acid passes him, Dan doesn't cease laughing. Acid walks straight past him, ignoring him and into the back.] MOSHER: "Poor Kyle Reece!" [Reece gets to his feet and quickly exits the ring through the crowd, covering his face.] MOSHER: "How embarassing! Rejected on live TV! What's going to happen next?!"
[We go backstage, where Phil ‘The Man’ Leach is striding towards the ring, favouring the back of his head where he took the chair shot from Ingham and Quarterman earlier in the night . Gavin Jones runs up alongside him as the CWF Champion marches purposefully towards the ring.] GAV: "Phil! Any final thoughts as we approach the final moments before your match?! Any thoughts at all?" [Without stopping, Phil Leach answers the question.] PHIL: "Friend or no friend, McMartyn stooge or no McMartyn stooge … and legend or no legend, tonight I’m going out there to prove one thing- that The Huckster’s time is over and mine is here. The CWF’s "Old Generation" better get ready to be done … like … a … kipper!" [His message short and sweet, the CWF Champion heads for the ring.] GAV: "Folks, this just got personal!!"
CWF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Phil ‘The Man’ Leach vs ‘The Huckster’ Bob Jones Referee: Adrian Davies [The crowd can barely contain their excitement as Mr Tuck steps up to the microphone] TUCK: "It is now time for the CWF World Championship Match!!!" [A massive cheer goes up, but this ovation triples as "Real American" begins to play. Red and yellow lights shine around the arena as a legendary figure struts out onto the entrance stage.] MEXICAN: "Oh my God, listen to these people essa! Talk about Help The Aged!" [Wearing his full battle attire of red "Huckstermania" T-shirt, yellow bandana and red yellow and silver tinsel around his neck. Despite his somewhat ridiculous appearance, the beloved Huckster Bob Jones receives an almighty welcome as he makes his way down to the ring.] TUCK: "Coming down the aisle, the challenger. From Newport Wales, weighing in at 250 lbs, ‘THE HUCKSTER’ BOB JONES!!" [Now in the ring, Bob Jones thrills the crowd with his usual pre-match taunts and postures. "Real American" dies down, revealing a smattering of booing for the challenger. Meanwhile, "It’s My Life" hits to an equally massive pop, and the CWF Champion grooves down the entrance aisle!] TUCK: "And his opponent … from Llanbadoc Docks Usk, weighing 237 lbs, the CWF CHAMPION … PHIL ‘THE MAN’ LEACH!!!" [A huge reception greets the CWF Champion, who angrily enters the ring and glares at the title challenger, rubbing the back of his head almost in a way that directs blame at his opponent. As his theme music dies down, Phil Leach lays a kiss on his championship belt then hands it over to ref Adrian Davies. MOSHER: "You have to wonder if Phil Leach is kissing that Championship goodbye…" [The CWF Champion removes his Pimp entrance attire solemnly and turns to face The Huckster. Champion and challenger stare determinedly at each other across the ring as the excitement of the crowd takes hold. The ring bell sounds, and the two competitors move towards each other. The Main Event of CWF Shindig Slam 2002 is on!] MOSHER: "This should be nothing short of phenomenal!" [Phil Leach and Bob Jones take turns posing and taunting, each one playing to the crowd. Each ear cup or groin wiggle receives an ear splitting but mixed reaction, with the emotional crowd either cheering or booing the superstar at the top of their voice. Both men look a little uneasy at this mixed reaction, so used to being adored wherever they go. Uncertainty is rife between the fans, between the crowd and the wrestlers, and between the competitors themselves.] MEXICAN: "Listen to these idiots … they just don’t know who to cheer for!" [Finally the two megastars lock up in a grapple, battling for the upper hand as each tries to power the other one down. The CWF Champion pushes forward with all his might, forcing Bob Jones down to one knee. With a roar The Huckster pushes to his feet and powers into the grapple, sending Phil Leach flying backwards across the length of the ring. The fans pop huge for the power of The Huckster, whilst Phil looks embarrassed at being hurled around like a child. Somewhat moodily, the CWF Champion gets up again and calls for another lock up.] MEXICAN: "Hahaha! Phil Leach certainly doesn’t like being upstaged by The Huckster, gringo!" [This time however, Phil Leach does not wait to find out who wins the grapple. He buries a knee deep into his opponent’s stomach, and whips Bob Jones across the ring and to the ropes. The Huckster blasts back, however, and squashes ‘The Man’ with a mighty Shoulder Block. The crowd goes nuts as Bob Jones flexes his wrinkled muscles in a show of strength. He hoists up Phil and whips him, but the CWF Champion counters with a whip of his own. The Huckster attempts another big Shoulder Block, but this time Phil sidesteps the attack, catching Jones on the return with a Kitchen Sink. Huckster gets to his feet and is met by some ferocious chops to the chest that turn the body of The Huckster a bright red colour. Phil drives the title challenger to the ropes and knocks him down with a big Pimp Clothesline, prompting a large and loud boo from the Riverside Stadium.] MOSHER: "Amazing … I don’t think we ever expected to hear a reaction like this to Phil ‘The Man’ Leach!" [Phil pulls up his opponent, and delivers some more stiff knife edge chops, driving The Huckster back with every shot. The title challenger fights back though, blasting The Gentleman Pimp with massive right hands and returning the favour. Phil is knocked back, and Bob Jones lands a gargantuan blow to his back, sending the Champion stumbling. More huge hammers to the back and sides of Phil Leach knock the Champion all around the ring, barely able to stay on his feet. The crowd goes wild as The Huckster Bob Jones utterly dominates the stricken Champ! Bob Jones hits a Suplex, driving Phil Leach hard down to the mat. The veteran scoops his opponent up again and attempts a second big Suplex, but this time Phil blocks with his foot, and hits a Pimp-Plex of his own. The crowd cheer loudly at this reversal, which seems to provide the Champion with a burst of energy.] MEXICAN: "Now this crowd cheers for El Callabero Pimpo! How fickle!" MOSHER: "The fans in the Riverside Stadium tonight are as partisan as I have ever seen a crowd!" [Following his Suplex reversal Phil makes the cover, but can barely keep The Huckster down for one. As Bob gets to his feet Phil scoops the veteran up and hits a Slam. The CWF Champion looks all around and mockingly imitates the taunts and poses of The Huckster, prompting a wave of jeers and cat calls from the audience. As an even further insult, Phil lands a Huckster-esque Legdrop across his opponent’s chest, then covers for the pin. Bob kicks out at one to a loud cheer, but Phil beats him down and delivers his own Pimp style Legdrop, dancing in a circle before crashing down onto The Huckster. Another cover, another kickout. Phil chops at Bob Jones some more, then whips him into the corner. Some more harsh, loud chops to the chest follow but these blows seem to invigorate The Huckster, who grabs Phil and swings him against the turnbuckles instead, delivering some big chops of his own. The Huckster is on fire now, and whips the CWF Champion to the opposite turnbuckle, then the next, then the first turnbuckle, then the fourth! Phil drunkenly staggers into the centre of the ring, where The Huckster hoists him up and delivers a powerful Scoop Slam- 1 … 2 … Kickout!] MOSHER: "Close one there! The Huckster has most definitely taken control here!" [Phil surprises Bob with a flurry of punches, then whips the senior superstar into the corner again. The Gentleman Pimp charges, but The Huckster gets a foot up in the way. Phil charges full speed into The Huckster’s boot, and spins around from the impact. Bob Jones hits a big Atomic Drop, and makes the cover once again- 1 … 2 … Kickout! Mounted punches by The Huckster, followed by three big Elbow Drops to the heart of the champion. Bob Jones hoists Phil Leach up into the air and holds him upside down with a Stalling Suplex for an impressively long amount of time. The blood rushes to the head of the CWF Champion before he is brought crashing down to the mat with a bang. Bob goes for the cover- 1 … 2 … Kickout yet again!] MOSHER: "There’s no denying the heart of Phil Leach- Bob Jones may have to prise that title from his cold dead fingers! [The Huckster now sets Phil Leach up for a Back Suplex, but ‘The Man’ escapes by flipping backwards over Jones’ shoulder, and countering with a brutal looking Full Nelson Slam. Bob Jones is literally thrown down to the canvas, but rather than cover him Phil ascends the ropes to a loud mix of cheers and boos. The CWF Champion signals for his Flying Iron Swede and leaps into space … but The Huckster moves out of the way! Phil crashes down to the mat head first, but The Huckster is also lying still from exhaustion. The enthusiasm and energy of the crowd slowly wills both men to their feet, and challenger and champion begin trading blows in the very centre of the ring. Phil hits a hard chop and locks arms with his opponent, setting him up for a series of Trapping Swedes. The Huckster counters with a knee to the midsection however, and whips the CWF Champion across the ring. Bob sets up for a Back Body Drop to his opponent but telegraphs the manoeuvre, allowing The Gentleman Pimp to drill him to the mat with a Neckbreaker. Phil makes the cover- 1 … 2 … Kickout!] MOSHER: "These fans are going crazy! Can The Huckster do it, can he win that treasured title back after all this time?" MEXICAN: "I’m just wondering "Can he make it to the end of the match without having a stroke"? I think that The Huckster is finally learning he can’t keep up with the top guys now!" [Phil Leach allows the challenger to get back to his feet before running to the ropes, hoping to nail a second successive Neckbreaker. What ‘The Man’ doesn’t realise is that Bob Jones has been playing possum, and grabs the CWF Champion as he runs, using his great strength to hurl Leach over the top rope and down to the arena floor! Following the Champion out to the arena floor, The Huckster begins taking it to him with vengeance, whipping Phil into the crowd barricades, then choking him with a handful of TV cables. Phil fights back with a big Swede to the face, and tries to smash Bob’s face into the announce table. The Huckster blocks, and drives Phil’s own head into the wood. Throwing ‘The Man’ against the announce desk, The Huckster somewhat gingerly climbs up to kneel on top of it, then batters away at Phil’s head with a succession of big right hands – 1 … 2 … 3 … 4 … 5 … 6 … 7 … 8 … 9 … 10!] MEXICAN: "Woah! The patented Huckster 10 Punch, right here on our very own announce desk!" [To the crowd’s delight, The Huckster Bob Jones taunts and poses atop the announce desk, before climbing down and picking up the battered Phil. The title challenger whips his opponent across the ringside area but Phil reverses the whip, hurling Bob Jones straight into the steel ring steps, which reverberate with a loud clang as the veteran’s back smashes into them. Instead of taking advantage of the situation, Phil Leach walks back over to the announce desk and tears off the cover. Loud booing echoes around the Riverside Stadium as the CWF Champion pulls one of the monitors from it’s position on the desk.] MOSHER: "Hey! What are you doing Phil! Put that back –NO!" [As The Huckster staggers to his feet, the CWF Champion swings the heavy monitor at him and smashes it into the side of his head, knocking the senior grappler to the floor in a heap. The crowd jeers and boos Phil with conviction as a stern-faced Gentleman Pimp rolls the near unconscious Huckster back into the ring.] MEXICAN: "Phil Leach will do ANYTHING to keep the CWF Championship, essa!" [Back inside the squared circle, Phil ‘The Man’ Leach drops The Huckster with a huge Oklahoma Slam. He covers for the pinfall- 1 … 2 … NO! Somehow, a groggy Huckster just manages to kick out. The cheers for this narrow escape are short-lived however, as a huge hiss goes up as a familiar figure comes swaggering down the entrance ramp towards the ring- the CWF Chairman, Clive McMartyn. Unnoticed by anyone inside the squared circle, the owner of the CWF takes up position in the ringside area to watch the action from up close. Phil Leach has just dropped his opponent with a Backbreaker, and as a close-to-finished Huckster lies unmoving on the mat, goes upstairs for a second time for another attempt at his Flying Iron Swede. Seeing this, Mr McMartyn hurries up the steel ring steps and grabs onto the ring ropes, shaking them furiously until the CWF Champion loses his balance and crotches himself up on the top rope.] MEXICAN: "Haha! Did you see that? That was great!" MOSHER: "Oh I saw that alright, pity referee Adrian Davies did not!" [The Huckster slowly recovers and climbs up to the second rope, where he hits an absolutely massive Superplex off the top rope, driving Phil Leach down to the mat so hard the whole ring shakes. The tide has changed yet again now- the fans are largely booing the Huckster for taking advantage of the interference by Mr McMartyn, even though the challenger has no idea the CWF Chairman is present. Bob makes the cover on Phil- 1 … 2 … Kickout! With some of his last remaining energy, Phil Leach kicks out of the ferocious Superplex. Now The Huckster spots Mr McMartyn at ringside, and is thrown off by his presence. As Phil staggers to his feet The Huckster whips him and goes for the Big Boot, but ‘The Man’ ducks the shot and dodges behind the veteran. Bob Jones turns around, and Phil hits the Pimp Drop! The fans go wild as Bob Jones is drilled into the mat, with the CWF Champion quickly making the cover- 1 … … 2 … … NO! As Adrian Davies’ hand flies towards the mat for the three, Mr McMartyn grabs his leg and yanks the referee out of the ring! A huge boo goes up, and rises even louder as the CWF Chairman grabs the Championship belt from ringside and climbs into the ring. As a confused Phil gets to his feet and turns around, McMartyn blasts him in the face with the title belt!] MOSHER: "What a shot! Mr McMartyn nearly took off Phil Leach’s head with that belt!" MEXICAN: "It’s true! Mr McMartyn and Bob Jones are on the same page. Oh happy day!" [As The Huckster gets to his feet he is confronted by the CWF Chairman, who points at the unconscious Phil Leach and tells Bob Jones to quickly pin him. The Huckster looks at the stricken Phil, then at McMartyn, then at Phil again… then nails Mr McMartyn with a huge punch! The CWF President staggers backwards, and Bob Jones smashes him with the Big Boot! Calling out to the crowd, The Huckster now points down at the fallen Chairman and claps his hands together. The fans respond with an almighty roar – and the Huckster nails McMartyn with the Legdrop!] MOSHER: "Looks like the Huckster didn’t sell out after all!" [The crowd is still on its feet cheering when Bob Jones turns around- and walks straight into a Pimp Drop! Adrian Davies slides into the ring to make the count as Phil makes the cover- 1 … … 2 … … NO! The Huckster kicks out of the Pimp Drop! The arena bursts into cheering, while Phil gapes open mouthed at his opponent, a shocked look on his face. The Huckster staggers uncertainly to his feet, but Phil Leach wastes no time in delivering a second successive Pimp Drop to the challenger- drilling him into the mat right on top of his head!! 1 … … 2 … … NO! NO! NO! The Huckster kicks out of a SECOND Pimp Drop, and literally hurls Phil Leach off him and across the ring. The fans go nuts as Bob Jones quickly rises up onto one knee, shaking his head and pumping his arms furiously. A flabbergasted Phil Leach launches some stiff chops at The Huckster but they have no effect- the CWF title contender is "Hucking Up"!!] MEXICAN: "Look at the old guy go! Aye carumba!" [The Huckster Bob Jones waves a reprimanding finger at Phil Leach and blasts the CWF Champion with three huge punches before whipping him to the ropes … Big Boot! Legdrop! The Huckster covers Phil Leach for the CWF Championship!! 1 … … 2 … … NO! For the second time tonight, Mr McMartyn drags Adrian Davies out of the ring! Now recovered from the effects of the Legdrop, the CWF Chairman grabs the Championship belt again and stamps into the ring. As The Huckster gets up off the mat Mr McMartyn blasts HIM with the title gold! Bob Jones crumbles to the mat as McMartyn stands over him laughing cruelly, but the CWF President has forgotten about the World Champion!] MEXICAN: "Oh no! Mr McMartyn- LOOK BEHIND YOU!" [Phil Leach casually taps the CWF President on the shoulder, causing him to turn around. The Gentleman Pimp delivers a HUGE Pimp Drop to the owner of the company! Phil Leach drives McMartyn into the mat but behind him, Bob Jones has staggered to his feet! As the CWF Champion turns around, he eats the patented Big Boot! With a signal to the roaring crowd, The Huckster Bob Jones hits the Legdrop! The referee once again dives back in to count as Bob Jones covers Phil- 1 … … 2 … … NO! Amazingly, the CWF Champion kicks out of the patented Legdrop finisher! The crowd cheers their champion and hero wildly as The Huckster shakes his head in disbelief.] MOSHER: "What an incredible match!" MEXICAN: "Are these two even HUMAN?!" [Both competitors slowly stumble to their feet. Across the ring, their eyes meet, and The Huckster and Phil Leach charge towards each other! SMACK! The two men hit simultaneous Clothesline, each knocking the other down to the mat. Utterly exhausted now, neither man can find the strength to move as Mr Davies begins to administer the 10 Count. Phil Leach groggily fins his feet, and to a loud cheer signals for the end – one last Pimp Drop coming up!] MOSHER: "Can Phil Leach finally get the jo- Wait! Who’s this?!" [A massive boo fills the arena- Dan Jones is marching to the ring, steel chair in hand! As Phil Leach prepares to line Bob Jones up for the Pimp Drop, the Lone Wolf slides into the ring behind him. Sensing a malevolent entity, Phil spins around … and Dan Jones nails him right between the eyes with the steel chair! The CWF Champion crashes to the mat, blood already beginning to trickle across his face. A hint of a smile on his face, Dan Jones briskly leaps out of the ring and retreats back up the entrance ramp, his fell task accomplished. Oblivious to what has just transpired, The Huckster Bob Jones gets to his feet. He turns to see Phil lying motionless on the canvas, looks all around him, then drops a mighty Leg Drop right into the heart of the CWF Champion! The Huckster makes the cover as the entire crowd holds it’s breath- … 1 … … 2 … … 3!!!!] MOSHER: "I can hardly believe it … he did it!" MEXICAN: "Can … ner … far…" [The roof comes off the Riverside Stadium as "Real American" blasts into the arena. Fans are cheering, laughing, crying … but not one is failing to show some sort of emotion. In the centre of the ring, a tearful Huckster cradles the Championship belt handed to him by Adrian Davies. Phil Leach lies unmoving in the ring, blood gushing from the wound caused by Dan’s vicious chair shot.] TUCK: "The winner of this match … and NEW CWF CHAMPION … … ‘THE HUCKSTER’ BOB JONES!!!" MEXICAN: "I hope Bob Jones realises how big a part Dan Jones played there, Mosher!" MOSHER: "The Lone Wolf was certainly the deciding factor in this World Championship upset- but did he mean to help his father or get revenge against Phil Leach?" [In the ring, Bob Jones is celebrating, holding his title belt aloft and going through his popular poses and taunts. As Phil stirs, Bob bends down and helps the now former champion to his feet. Phil Leach pushes him away and goes to leave, but reconsiders. Phil turns and extends his hand- which the Huckster takes. The two superstars shake hands and embrace, their friendship reunited. From the top of the entrance ramp, Dan Jones quietly watches as Phil Leach and The Huckster raise each other’s hands in the centre of the ring. Lone Wolf slips into the back as the celebrations continue, Phil displaying true sportsman like qualities by compelling the crowd to cheer their new champion, a task the fans need no encouragement to do.] MOSHER: "Ladies and gentleman, what a scene, what a moment, what a match! CWF Shindig Slam 2002 will be remembered as long as we all should live! For The Greasy Mexican, this is Captain Mosher saying thank you, and good night!" [The new CWF Champion The Huckster and Phil Leach perform for the fans as the closing shot of CWF Shindig Slam fades into black…]
