Stone Cold Steve AustinSTONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN
Television Champion
Feb. 15, 2006 - present

Soon after the controversial beginning of Christian's Television Championship reign, it became clear that he would be a difficult titleholder to unseat. Not only did he have his longtime "associates" -- the Christian Coalition -- at his side, but also his newfound alliance with D-Generation X made it difficult for anyone to get a fair shot at him. Even former PWF Champion Lance Storm was unable to take the title from him in a Fatal Four-Way match brought about by the Lethal Lottery at Nuclear Frost. However, at the King of the Ring, fans and Christian were both shocked to witness the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Christian and Austin clashed over the next several weeks, and it was immediately obvious that a one-on-one match would be needed to settle their rivalry once and for all.

That match would take place at Aggression, in Atlanta, Ga. The Coalition looked to play a role in the match, but they were sent to the back under threat of stripping Christian of the belt. Without their influence at ringside, and with DX having PWF Championship aspirations later in the night, Christian was left alone with a very angry, very determined Texas Rattlesnake, and after many setbacks to the "creepy little bastard," Austin finally managed to catch Christian with the Stone Cold Stunner and get the three-count. As Austin celebrated with the belt, the Coalition tried to console Christian, but as he walked to the back, all he could say was, "It's over." For Christian, "it" might have been over, but the Television Championship reign of Stone Cold Steve Austin had just begun.
