SCORN
I hate to think all these years were in vain.
not wanting to be a failure
and forsaking his own needs,
he worked hard to sustain.
Our mind wanders over the years
we did our best trying to accept
all bundled in one great quest.
We all were prepared to offer relief,
we set aside our pain for you
in this time of such grief.
All we saw was revenge
and hate filled eyes
all we could do is set ourselves aside.
This time of great pain
at the lose of one so dear,
you took from us with distain
for your own gain.
Like venom from a viper
those dry tears we seen,
wondering how it could be.
Our moment of love outreached from grief
we walked away feeling relief.
With armor in hand
and withdrawn
we walked tall knowing our stand
the pain too great to withstand.
So now WE can mourn
and say this last time
that you have failed,
and we are free of your scorn
I know this sounds bad
expressing such anger;
I make no apologies
and offer no shoulder.
For I am too weak
after what happened
this past week.
These words can now be released.
we are now free of that strain to keep peace.
Perhaps thats part of the plan
the pain too great to withstand.
THis piece of life so precious to us
so confusing to sort it all out
now gone forever we see.
all we can do is shout
i love you i love you i love you
we do what we have to do don't we.
