Elves

Note; please note this is mostly about Elven types from earth, offworld races of elves may be slightly different.

Elves are races of people who possess some or all of the so-called 'elven features'. 'Elven features' include pointed ear lobes, narrow faces, slender features, short statures, unusual or changeable eye colors, large enchanting eyes, and innocent natures. Skills often attributed to elven people include artistry, magick, psychic powers, glamoury, empathy, warrior prowess, wit, knowledge of camouflage and poisons, and advanced tool working.

Few elves display all of the typical 'elven features' or possess all of the typical 'elven skills', but they will possess at least a combination of several distinct features and skills. Not all elves are short of stature, in fact many are taller than average height and some are gigantic. Though most elves have innocent natures that is not universally true and some elves are quite dark and sinister. Most elves have pinched/pointed ear lobes, and nearly all are strongly empathic. Like most kin they will normally have unusual and often changeable eye colors. Legend holds that elven souls are immortal and can only die of heartbreak. Many children can see or sense the spirits of elves, which will watch over them and guide them until such time as the child will usually 'outgrow' them.

On Earth it is believed that few strong-blooded elves exist anymore, as the elven races were mostly destroyed and absorbed by breeding during many centuries of European 'witch hunts'. Most elven people on Earth these days are mixed bloods with dominant elven blood as well as the blood of humans and other breeds of kin.
