Faeries

Note: This information is generally for earthen Faeries, and do not neccessarely hold true for offworlders.

Faeries are elven folk, named Faeries, Pixies, Elves, Dwarves, and many other names in Western Europe by invading races of Celts, Norsemen, Germanic, and Romans. For ages the faeries have been honored as great spirits, revered and reviled as gods, creatures, ancestors, demons, elementals, and angels. Faeries are known to be fond of children, animals, and plants. They enjoy fun and games, nectar and sweet foods, toys, votive offerings, nature, outdoor gardens, rituals, and festivals. They are prone to mischievous though rarely malicious behavior. Most are said to perform vital functions in the material, astral, and spiritual worlds, such as helping plants grow healthy and guarding small children. They can be as tiny as insects or much larger than average height. As spirits they are often observed to fly on wings of light (energy), and to communicate by pure emotion. Their powers include strong magick, psychic powers, invisibility and camouflage, control over perception, emotional projection, and flight (in the spiritual realm). Some faeries are less benevolent, others downright malevolent, but most faeries have innocent spirits. Faerie souls are said to be immortal and rarely vanquished except by heartbreak.
