On the weekend of November 3-4, 2001, 18 of us piled into some cars and headed up to Lake Tahoe to spend the weekend celebrating my 21st birthday, as well as 3 of my other friends' birthdays. We rented a REALLY nice condo, went to a drag impersonator show, and partied pretty much all weekend. Fun was had by all, despite a few memorable complications!

New Years 2001
New Year's has become somewhat of a tradition for me and my friends. Every year I throw a party at my apartment and it naturally turns into one big slumber party. But sleeping over is encouraged...unfortunately, most are incoherent long before the clock strikes twelve.

Rock Climbing
In August 2001, Katherine and I went rock climbing at Lover's Leap in Tahoe. Outdoor climbing is a sport I'd like to get into more, but I mostly climb indoors.

Ski Season '00-'01
Skiing is one of my favorite sports. Too bad I'm a student! School and lack of funds limits me to less than a dozen trips a season. But we all have a blast when we actually do get up there!

One night during winter quarter...around, ohhh, 9pm, a bunch of us decided it was a good time to go play in the snow. So, at about 10:30pm, we hopped into a car and headed up to the Sierras! Here are a few pictures from our adventure.

Scuba Diving
Diving is like being an astronaut! Each time I'm underwater, I feel like I'm on a whole other planet. Seeing the flora and fauna firsthand in the ocean is undescribable!

Calpirg is a statewide student-run social, environmental, and consumer rights group that is part of a nationwide organization, US PIRG. I've been involved in the summer canvass and student chapter aspects of the organization and have learned a lot! State board meetings and retreats are a big part of how we communicate and function to better run our campaigns.
