Vision Statement
- Our emergency food programs (Food Pantry, Mobile Soup Kitchen and main Soup Kitchen) will remain at the core or our services to the poor.
- A committed, well-trained, client-centered and competent staff will ensure those we serve consistently receive satisfying and effective services and begin to experience meaningful changes in their lives.
- As a way of nurturing the spirituality of those we serve we will work to create sacred spaces for worship and meditation, offer workshops and support groups in spirituality and faith issues and continue to minister to need at a personal level.
- Having trained social services professionals on staff will allow all our staff and volunteers to better ascertain and respond to needs of those we serve. We will develop a flexible and responsive case management system to help us better respond to complex situations we encounter.
- We will develop a dignified and well-maintained physical plant for our clients, employees and volunteers.
- We will continue to advocate for the poor through education of the general public, collaboration with community-based and anti-poverty organizations as well as engaging decision makers about the realities of poverty and specific actions that might be taken to prevent and mitigate poverty.
- We will plan and implement changes to existing services or creation of new services to better serve those in need, as our resources allow.
- We commit to collaboration within Catholic and other non-profit networks to ensure those we serve receive high quality social services.
