GALLERY OF STAMPING STYLES
For June 2014, a purple Dave Anderson stamp with "THIS IS A REGISTERED BILL" was used for the first time since July 2011. The back used the simple URL stamp in purple with "HAVE YOU SEEN JUNIOR'S GRADES?" in green.
The May 2014 bills saw the use of the red Tombstone on the front along with the round stamp in blue around the Treasury seal; the first time this style was used on the front. The back made use of the stamps acquired from Stamp Connection last fall, with "TRACK THIS BILL ONLINE AT" in green with the URL in blue. "HELP ME, SPOCK!" also appeared in blue.
For April 2014 The classic three-liner continued, but in red, and left-justified. One of the new stamps that I got last October was used in the back top margin in red. The bottom back margin had "HELP ME, SPOCK!" in green.
The classic three-liner, center-justified in blue, returned to the front in March 2014. The back, for the first time since 2000, did not have a URL stamp of any kind, but it was still stamped twice. The top margin used the bandstamp with "THIS IS A REGISTERED BILL" in red while the bottom marginhad "PLEASE REPORT SIGHTINGS" in black.
A new front stamp was rolled out for February 2014; that being a curved stamp around the portrait in blue. On the back another new stamp was used in red for the top margin. Both were purchased during an in-person visit at Stamp Connection in Oregon on 10/22/13. The back bottom margin had "BABY DONE GOT SOME SOUL!" in red as well.
January 2014 saw the return of the "balloon" stamp, this time in blue, along with the round stamp around the Treasury Seal in Purple. The back featured "PLEASE REPORT SIGHTINGS" in purple along with the center-justified "classic" three liner.
The new custom stamp ordered last month made its debut for December 2013. It's the Dave Anderson stamp, but features the US Route 66 shield. On the back another custom stamp from 2010 was used in red, along with "BABY DONE GOT SOME SOUL!" in the back margin in green. Bills with this style were also entered and released in Gila Bend AZ, Mojave CA, and San Jose CA.
For the first time, the November 2013 bills are sporting a new style! I decided to use some stamps purchased from the previous month's visit to Stamp Connection in Gresham, OR. The front markings contain the "balloon" stamp in purple, along with the round stamp around the Treasury seal. On the back, we have the first time use of the "band" stamp, with the URL in red in the top margin. The bottom margin, in red, is "CURRENCY TRACKING PROJECT". Needless to say, I was excited to be doing something new! And, I've already got a new custom stamp picked out for next month!
