GALLERY OF STAMPING STYLES, 2012

A "new" Dave Anderson stamp in blue was used for January 2012. This version has a different typeface for the URL and the "CURRENCY TRACKING PROJECT". The back this month was simple, with the URL in brown in the top margin and "PLEASE REPORT SIGHTINGS" in red in the bottom margin.

The Dave Anderson stamp with the April Wine logo returned for February 2012 in red. The back this month again was simple, with the URL in brown continuing in the top margin but with "HELP ME, SPOCK!" in blue for the bottom margin.

For March 2012, the "Tombstone" stamp in red returned, but was joined by the Circle stamp in purple around the Treasury Seal. The reverse had "PLEASE REPORT SIGHTINGS" in purple, along with one of my custom stamps in black.

April was April Wine month here, and we used the Dave Anderson stamp with the April Wine logo in blue on the front. On the back the round stamp in purple with the "Tombstone" in red appeared in the center. The back margin message was "JOURNEY TO THE STARS! ROCK AND ROLL GUITARS!" in purple.

As is usually the case with May, we acknowledged Bachman-Turner Overdrive with the Dave Anderson stamp containing their logo. It appeared in red, along with "TAKIN' CARE OF BUSINESS" in black in the back margin (usually placed in the top). Also on the back, in black, (no pun intended for the AC/DC fans out there) was a custom stamp I had made two years ago.

The June bills saw a return of the blue "Tombstone" stamp on the front. The reverse of these bills had one of my aftermarket stamps in red, along with the back margin message of "JOURNEY TO THE STARS! ROCK AND ROLL GUITARS!" in brown. Bills of this style were also entered/released in Sierra Vista AZ and Lordsburg NM.

The July bills used the red "Tombstone" on front along with the circular stamp in purple around the Treasury Seal. Both of these stamps were also used on the back, along with "BEAM ME UP SCOTTY" in orange for the back margin. Bills of this style were also entered released in Green Valley, Sahuarita and Eloy AZ.

For August the old WG 3 liner "classic" in red was used, which was the very first style of WG stamp ever marketed. On the back a newer round stamp was used in brown, while the back margin had "LET IT RIDE" in red. Bills of this style were also entered and released in Casa Grande and Tempe AZ.

The WG 3 liner "classic" in blue continued for September 2012. This is not quite the classic as that this version is center justified. On the back a newer round stamp continued but also in blue, while the back margin had "JOURNEY TO THE STARS!" and "ROCK AND ROLL GUITARS!" in brown.

The October 2012 bills had more stamps and colors than the previous month. The Dave Anderson in purple was used on the front in purple with "PLEASE REPORT SIGHTINGS". That was also on the back in the top margin in brown. The backs of the bills had the red "Tombstone" stamp and the circle stamp in orange. In the bottom back margin, "BABY DONE GOT SOME SOUL!" appeared in blue.

The red "Tombstone" stamp returned to the front for November 2012. The back featured an aftermarket stamp in purple, along with "BEAM ME UP SCOTTY!" in the back margin......also in purple. Bills with this style were also entered/released in Tombstone AZ and Nogales AZ.

For the last month of 2012, the classic red three-liner returns to the front. On the back the red circle stamp was used alongside the blue "Tombstone" stamp. The back margin had "PLEASE REPORT SIGHTINGS" in green. Bills with this style were also entered/released in Quartzsite AZ, Buttonwillow CA, and San Jose CA.
