Clear and sunny, nice day.
An okay day, sort of! This morning I tried to get up early, but didn't. I got up around 9:30 and did some laundry. That was a good thing. I needed to get it done. I did all the usual morning stuff and then left for work. I made good time this morning and got there with lots of time.
Work was okay except my students in my last class didn't show up. Nope, not any of them. Sigh. I also found out that I'll be getting a student for four lessons in the next two weeks, and also another student for 3 months on Saturdays. He's quite high and he wants double classes. Sigh. It would be from a text that I don't usually teach too. Bloody hell. I'm not very happy about both of these things, but I suspect I'll be fine.
After work Fumihiko and I went to M's Dining. They were going to put us at a crappy table again, but I asked for a booth. It wasn't clean yet, but they cleaned it quickly and we were fine! I just hate that. We spend enough money there I think we deserve a booth once in a while. Fumihiko of course would never say anything, but I'm the mouthy gaikokujin!
We came home then and I did some email work for AFWJ and also myself. I have to do a bit of research about our holiday location too tonight.
That's about it. Oh, we got a nice present from my friend Michelle in Canada. She sent me some cutlery. It's very cute, has flowers on it. I'll look forward to using it soon.
And that was my day. I hope tomorrow will be happier. This day is always bad for me as it's the anniversary of the day my Dad died.
