Snow, snow, snow!
Yesterday was a good day. We went to Sakata to go to a party, at which we had a great time. After the party we went to karaoke for a while, and then back to our hotel. We stayed in the Alpha One in Sakata. It wasn't bad. It wasn't gorgeous, but it wasn't too expensive and we got to have breakfast too, so okay.
This morning we woke up before 7. I had told Fumihiko I would come down and have breakfast with him, but he didn't really believe me. Ha! I did it too. We went out, cleared off the car, then came back in and ate breakfast. It was a buffet and not bad really.
Fumihiko left for work and I finished my breakfast, then headed back to the room. I took a long nap. I set my alarm for 9:15, and fell asleep. It was nice actually. I got a good nap. I had a hard time getting up afterwards, but I knew I had to. I made some decaf coffee, drank it, then checked out. I went shopping!
I walked to Daiei, which wasn't far away and looked at some of their stuff. I didn't buy much, an undershirt and some wool at the 100 yen shop. I just have been itching to do some knitting or crocheting lately. I left and then caught my train, by the skin of my teeth!
The ride back to Tsuruoka was fine. I couldn't see out the windows. There was a sea of snow out there.
Back in Tsuruoka I did a bit more shopping and had lunch before setting off for home.
At home I did a bit of work. I actually cleaned the toilet. Yay me. After that, I needed a treat so I popped in a video that I'd bought a week or so ago. I watched The Last Dragon. It was so 80's and so cheesy, but also sort of sweet in a way. It was cute.
Fumihiko came back around 6. We had coffee, and then went out for dinner. We went to the Daiichi Hotel for their buffet. It was quite good I thought. They had lots of fish, some beef, pork, chicken, and even some lamb. I couldn't eat everything, but I could eat quite a lot. It was nice. We bought groceries and then came home.
And that was my day. It was pretty cool. OH, before I forget, I have a couple of pictures for you. I took these from our hotel room. I think they're kind of neat. Students at Sakata schools leave their bikes at the station and when they get off the train they ride them to school. As you can see there was a lot of snow today and not many of the students took their bikes. Still, the lines of bikes make interesting photos, don't they?
Night night!
