Rainy and cool.
This morning I did something stupid. I was cutting cheese with my cheese planer and I got my thumb in the way. Yep, I cut my thumb, close to the thumbnail. It bled and bled, and really hurt. However, the cheese was good when I put it in my omelette.
I don't even want to talk about work today, because it wasn't really work. In the morning I went out with an ex-student for coffee. We walked to S-mall, had a nice chat and some good coffee. Then we did a bit of window shopping. I didn't buy anything. On the way back, we realized we both had to go to the post office, so we separated just outside. I had to hit the bank first as I was out of cash! I finally paid for my UNICEF cards.
When I got back to the post office it was starting to rain. I paid my bill and the ladies in the post office offered me one of the umbrellas that were by the door. I didn't end up taking it, but it was a lovely gesture. I didn't have classes for ages, so I didn't care if I got a little wet. I did.
Back at the school I did a bunch of prep. I didn't really have to prepare today's classes, but I did have to prepare for tomorrow and Saturday. I took care of that and then watched some of my dvds.
One of my classes canceled, so I actually only had one class today. Sigh. Still, that class went rather well, so it was okay.
After work, Fumihiko came and picked me up. Tonight's dining was at M's Dining. It was...okay. The food was good, but the waiter that served us wasn't that great. Sigh.
We bought a few groceries. Fumihiko conveniently forgot his wallet in the car so I paid for them. He did pay me back after so I guess I forgive him. His face in the store was priceless when he realized he didn't have his wallet on him.
We came home, drank some coffee and had a lovely evening. That was my day. It had a bad start, but turned out okay. Night night.
