Hot and sunny, gorgeous day.
A good day today. Fumihiko did something really sweet when he left for work this morning. He set the coffeepot for ME! He set it to go off at 11. How wonderful. I planned to sleep in this morning and in fact was doing that when the telephone rang. I answered it and it was one of my ex-students asking if we could meet today to discuss her joining my school. Yeah! We made an appointment for later.
I had thought about going out today to do some shopping, but didn't. Instead I stayed home again. And, I watched Friends again. This time I watched only half of a dvd, yay me. I think I've arrived at the shows that took place after I left Canada. I haven't seen all of these episodes so it's pretty fun to watch.
Around 4:30 I left for the school. When I got there it was so hot. I spent the first 10 minutes sweating with the air conditioning cranked up before it became reasonable. I prepared a few things for our meeting. My student arrived on time and we had a nice chat. She's going to be a short term student as she has many other commitments in her life right now. That's fine for me.
After I came home and Fumihiko still wasn't home. It was now around 8:30. Yikes. Finally around 9 he came home. He was exhausted as usual. He changed his clothes and we went out for dinner. Tonight we went to Bronco, and as we sat at our table, he checked his wallet. It was empty. Oh no. He was supposed to buy dinner, but I did instead. Good thing too as I had all the expensive stuff. I had a steak and hamburg combo and a cheese and tomato plate. It was fairly decent too. I'm not sure that it'll become my favourite place, but it is close by our apartment which is a good thing.
We came home, spent a little time together and then used our computers for a while. I searched out some hotels and resorts in Banff, but I'm not sure about where is a good place. I've read reviews, but I'd also like to talk to people about them. I think we won't stay at the Banff Springs Hotel. It's too expensive. I looked at the hotel's own site and they said it was full when we wanted to be there, but another place said it was okay. Huh? I guess it's a travel company thing?
Fumihiko finally went off to bed and I'll try to go soon too. I'm not very tired right now, so I don't want to go to bed. Still, I really should, shouldn't I?
And that's my report. Tomorrow should be my day off, so I'm going to enjoy it. And pay bills. Which has nothing to do with enjoying the day. Bah humbug.
