Sunny but a little cool. Nice day.
Quite a good day. This morning I got up late and showered. Then we (it was Fumihiko's day off) went to the Daiichi Hotel for lunch. It was quite nice today.
Then we made a quick stop at home to pick up some reading material, then we went to his doctor's office. Fumihiko's back was bad again, so he wanted some help and I was hoping to get the doctor to sign my passport forms. He's known me for the length of time necessary. I left the forms there, and Fumihiko got a shot. Poor thing. I feel so bad for my hubby.
We went to the Chamber of Commerce in the afternoon. Fumihiko got a bunch of pamphlets and booklets about opening a business. He's trying to read them and then translate them for me. Actually, I just want him to read them and TELL me what to do!
After that we went to the mall for a while. We went to Mikawa. Fumihiko actually asked me to take him shopping! He wanted to buy a new shirt. He doesn't wear suits much these days, but he sometimes has parties so he needs some dressier shirts. He bought a cool shirt at Uniqlo. If it fits me, I might even borrow it! Then, he went to a menswear store and got two more on sale. They are more for suits than the other one. Typical suit shirts.
Oh, I forgot! Before we went to Mikawa we went to Voice. We wanted to look at furniture. The Furniture store didn't have anything I wanted, but the recycle shop had some old desk. However, they were....old. And sort of yuck. But, they were the right type of thing.
When we first went to Mikawa we hacked around the hardware store. They had nice lockable desks, but they were expensive. They did have quite nice folding chairs that weren't too expensive. I also got a broom and a huge dustpan for the apartment there. The one I have here is too short and the handle broke. For somre reason in Japan it's almost impossible to get a decent sized broom. I think it's cause the old ladies all have osteoporosis in Japan and can't stand up straight. That and they're all shorter than me anyway!
After all that shirt buying Fumihiko was hungry! We drove back to Tsuruoka and then went to Benkei for dinner. They were really busy so we had to sit at the counter. That was kind of fun though because we could watch the head cook. He's so fast at preparing stuff. I can only dream of being that good a cook. We had sanma, eggplant, mixed veggies in foil, tsukune (ground chicken grilled on a stick), pork skewers and tofu. It was all great.
We bought groceries at S-Mall then came home. We watched Desperate Housewives. Tonight it was a humdinger! Susan and Mike moved in together; Lynette's husband quit his job; Gabrielle made Carlos so angry that he violated his house arrest, beat up another gay man and got arrested; and Bree's husband had a heart attack but Bree didn't think he was serious. Wow!
And that's about it for the day. I'm back to being a "housewife" tomorrow. I asked hubby if he thought I was a desperate housewife but he says he trusts me!
Gotta go, night!
