Sunny and hot, but muggy again.
Hasn't been a good day overall, although we did get a lot done.
When I got up this morning, or of course, was awakened by loud noises from the kitchen, I got dressed and we went to check my school's parking lot. Someone had parked in my parking space, and of course were still there today too. We went to the rental company to complain. I pay for that space and I need it for my students.
After that, Fumihiko went to get his hair cut and I went shopping! I didn't spend too much, but I got something cute for my niece and something for my school.
After he was done being sheared we went out to Mikawa to Bistro de Ponts. We haven't been there since January. We had a great meal of pork saute with mushrooms, also salad and sashimi, pumpkin soup and dessert. Yes, I got to have dessert too. I had five lovely strawberries! A nice touch.
We went to the bookstore and I got my books. They were very expensive. Over 500 dollars, eek. Still, they're for the school so I can't complain.
Next we went to the mall to see if I could find some things for Katie. We found some really cute things, and Fumihiko surprised me by paying for most of them. I really was surprised. Usually he watches while I do the shopping, but not today.
We went to Jusco to get some tapes so I can make back-up copies of my texts cds and cassettes, and then looked at bookcases. Once again, Fumihiko announced that he was going to buy that one. I asked him where he was going to put it. He thought and said in the tatami room. Wrong answer! That room has a major damp problem and it stinks. There's no way in hell that I'll put my books in that room. Since he didn't like my response, he refused to buy the bookshelf, even though I suggested putting it in the living room where there's actually a wall that it can go against.
We came home and he studied more for his test, then started to do something. I walked by and saw that he'd put parts of the coffee maker in a basin with the sink mat. AND bleach. WTF? I've told him before that we do not use bleach to clean those. I bought both of them, I should get to say what's done with them. He got angry, demanded that I admit that I was wrong about using vinegar to clean the coffee maker and when I wouldn't, he stormed out.
After he left, I did a couple of things that I've been putting off for months. First I took all of the addresses out of my iPod and put them back in my computer. When the big crash happened, I lost my computer's address book. Yikes. If I had tried to update my iPod it would have overridden all the addresses.
I also tried to import my old iTunes into the new one. I had less success there. It tells me that the computer doesn't have enough memory for that. I think I must have done something wrong then. Sigh.
My husband came home sometime around 11, very quiet and obviously still cranky. I'm getting to the point where I really hate weekends, and trying to spend time with him. It's impossible these days. He gets mad at the drop of a hat and "runs away". That'll really teach me! I love having my apartment to myself, so I think the joke is on him. But don't tell him that. He has very little sense of humor these days.
Gotta go.
