June 21, 2006 - Wednesday

Very muggy, but little rain, if any.

Sort of a weird day today. I overslept a bit, but got up and did my morning stuff and what not. I went to the local post office to buy my revenue stamps. If I'm receiving money over a certain amount I need a government stamp for it. Then I went over to the school. I did a bit of cleaning and preparing for my lesson tomorrow. I was busy for a while, but after 5 I took a break and read my movie magazine.

Fumihiko c-mailed me and then arrived around 6. We chatted for a while and then we decided to leave. We had to return our dvds tonight, so I suggested that we go to a restaurant on the way back. When we stopped by my bike to put it in the trunk, Fumihiko noticed that the back tire was completely flat. It wasn't like that when I left home. However, the sidewalls have been wearing badly, and the rubber was fraying. I'm just glad it didn't pop while I was on the bike! We drove it to a bike shop and got there just as they were closing up. The guy said I could get it back tomorrow night. That's really not that great for me, but maybe I'll get hubby to pick it up for me. Yeah.

We went back to our place to pick up the dvds and while I went in the house, Fumihiko checked out his bike. He hasn't used it this year at all, but he's going to lend it to me to use. I'll have to give myself enough time tomorrow to pump up the tires before I go to the school. When in the apartment I found a letter from the Convention that my ladies group just had, they were thanking me for my contribution to a charity auction. Wasn't that nice?

We drove to the dvd store and Fumihiko took in the dvds. I'm glad, because if it had been me, I wouldn't have been able to leave the store empty handed! And I don't have a membership so that would be a bad thing.

We had dinner in Izakaya Dan. It was pretty good. Tonight we had some of our usual dishes, and a couple of new ones. We had eggplant with garlic sauce, pork-egg kimchee stirfry, chicken skewer, miso pork roast, some kind of fish tataki (cooked on the outside, raw on the inside) served Italian style and my favourite tonight, asparagus with mayonaise. That was yummy. Gotta love my veggies.

When we came home we spent a quiet evening. Fumihiko had to study.Well, actually he had to go to his workplace and grab his book, but then he studied. I spent time on my computer doing my computing stuff and then I finally reached a decision. I decided to delete all of my songs from my computer. I have had memory problems with my computer all year, and the other day I somehow managed to double the amount of songs I have on my computer. I have a lot of junk songs that I rarely listen to anyway. They are all in my iPod, so I'll try to figure out how to update that without copying over the songs already on my iPod. Sigh. I only managed to get about 1000 songs deleted so far!

Fumihiko's sleeping and I'm writing this. Fumihiko wants to take time off and see the doctor tomorrow, but I think he's planning to spend time at my school with me. I'm afraid I just don't want him there. It's where I work. It's almost impossible for me to do anything with him around. Seriously.

Anyway, I'm off. Wish me luck for tomorrow! First lesson in 6 months and all that. Got to go! Night night.
