Cold, snowy and windy.
An okay day today. I didn't do too much at home, I tried running the Repair Permissions again, and only did it twice today. One pass lasted more than ninety minutes, so I stopped!
I finished watching Firefly today. I have to say what a shame it was that the network didn't give it a better chance to build it's audience. I know a lot of people who love the show and I think the seeds were there in the episodes that I saw of a great show. The cast was very good, and some of the characters were very interesting. It had the potential I think to build into a Star Trek like franchise - and I mean that as a compliment.
Around five o'clock I started getting ready for going out. We were going to an English Conversation group around six tonight. Fumihiko would come back from work, change and drive us there. Well, that's what he did. We stopped on the way for some gift cakes and then arrived at the place. Unfortunately my dear hubby had gotten the time wrong. We were an hour early! Oh dear.
We went out for dinner to Gusto. I had my "usual" there, chicken breast with pesto sauce and a few veggies, and cooked spinach with an egg. It was very good. I also had a diet coke and then an iced cappucino. Yum.
We went back to the meeting place and went in. We had a great time. There was a nice bunch of people there and another foreigner, a guy from New York. We talked about many things and it was a lot of fun. Fumihiko was a bit nervous and his English wasn't as steady as it is with just me around, but he did very well. I know his English is great, I just wish that he did!
After we came home via the grocery store and bought some late snacks for us and some groceries for my lunch tomorrow. We came home and had coffee and just relaxed.
It was nice to get out and talk to people today. I haven't been out of the apartment in 2 days, so I was starting to get a bit housebound AND the weather has tanked again. It's cold and snowy, sounds a bit thundery too. I want it to warm up soon! I'd like to start going out for my walks again, but it's hard when it's soooo cold and nasty.
And that's my day. I don't have any plans for tomorrow really. I might just have to do some housework. Or not. If I get the urge I think I'll lie down until it goes away!
