Rainy day.
Today was pretty good. I prepared tandori chicken this morning. I had to take the chicken skin off which was pretty yucky. It took ages to do as I'd bought chicken legs at the grocery yesterday.
In the afternoon, after my late brunch I decided to go over to the school and unpack some of the boxes. I didn't know it was raining, but it was. Luckily I had my lovely pink raincoat to wear.
At the apartment I did a bit of laundry, washing up, and unpacking. The problem for the moment is that I have no place to put my stuff. That's a bit sad. I left the smaller bits in the boxes.
I had gotten an email from my hubby saying that he would be late, so I didn't feel in any rush to go home. I stretched out on the floor for a while and read my magazine. Ah, bliss!
I biked home via the grocery store. I was trying to find some naan for Fumihiko to go with the chicken, but I couldn't. Sigh. I ended up just buying some popcorn and some pre-cut fruit.
When I came home, I worked on my computer for ages. Fumihiko finally came home around 10 and I started cooking. Dinner was good. We had tandori chicken and salad, and for dessert yogurt and fruit. It was very nice.
I got a bit mad at my husband during dessert though. There was some Japanese show on that he was watching. He'd spent all day away from me and then when he came home he couldn't even be bothered to make conversation with me. He had his head craned around to watch the TV. It was really annoying. I was trapped in the corner too. For some reason, my chair at the table is wedged in front of the garbage can, next to his chair. I can't get out unless he moves, and I can't leave the kitchen unless he moves. I think I'm going to have to work on that. Of course we still have that blooming extra fridge in the way too. It's only been in the way since oh....December 31st.
Anyway, there's a faint chance that we might go to Sendai tomorrow night, so if we do there won't be an update. Don't miss me too much!
Before I go, I should talk about something. I've got a certain piece of music going round and round in my head right now. I watched a video on the Canadian Ex-pat Blog (link below) a few days ago and the song won't stop. I'm sure every Canadian knows it by heart...no, not the national anthem, The Log Driver's Waltz! Somebody, get it out of my head....please!!!!!
Night!
