Drizzly and dark all day.
Today was a nice day. I slept in quite late, but got up finally! We had coffee and watched the news before going out for lunch. We went to the Daiichi hotel for their buffet. It was quite nice.
We came home after that and Fumihiko fixed my bike light for me. He took the bracket off his bike and put it on mine. What a sweetie. After that, we went out again.
We went to a couple of stores. First off a hardware store in Tsuruoka. I was looking for batteries and a good present for my brother in law. I think we found one too. I didn't buy the batteries as I wasn't happy about the ones they had. Fumihiko wanted to look at the pet store after that, so we did.
We drove over to the mall in Mikawa, and visited the hardware store there. It was okay. I got something for my brother in law there too, and we bought our batteries there.
We went into the mall and saw The Devil Wears Prada. It was okay. Not great, but fun. Meryl Streep was wonderful as always. How does she do it?
After the movie we went to the coffee shop and I had a cappucino. It was great. We came back to Tsuruoka after that.
We were humming and hawing over where to go for dinner, when I suggested that we go to the new restaurant that opened near us. Today was the first day. It's a Japanese style place. It was okay. It wasn't fabulous, but the food was quite good. I had fish, hokke to be exact. It has a lot of bones, but I liked it.
We came home after that and watched Desperate Housewives. They ran last week's episode again, plus this week's, so we got a double shot. It was fun. Gabrielle lost her baby, and Bree broke up with George. He's gone a bit psycho and has set fire to someone's car. They had Danny Trejo in today's episode as someone who guarded Gabrielle on orders from her husband. It was nice to see him as a good guy for a change! He's played villians in all kinds of movies, like Con Air and one of the Desperado movies.
After that, not much. I read some blogs, wrote this and I don't know what will happen next. Tomorrow is hubby's birthday, and there may be some karaoke in our future! Tune in tomorrow to see what we do!
