Sunny and warm. Nice day.
Well, my day started out okay, but in the last 20 minutes hubby and I just had a fight, so who knows how it will end?
I overslept this morning. I planned to get up early, but didn't. In fact, what did wake me up was the delivery truck arriving at my apartment with my new dvd player! You'd have laughed if you'd seen me try to get dressed quickly!
In the early part of the day, I emailed and stuff, then got dressed and went out. I wanted to go to the bank and pay some taxes. I didn't want to do that you understand, I just thought I'd better do it!
After doing that, I went to the mall. I had lunch first and then did a bit of shopping. I did quite well in the 100 yen store, got a few things that I needed or thought I did. Then, I headed over to the video store. Hmm. Well, I found something that I wanted all right, and so I got them. I bought the last 3 seasons of Friends on dvd. Yeah me. It's just the vanilla discs, but I don't care. I'm pleased with myself. I've never bought the entire run of something before. A friend of mine bought all the Star Treks and I thought she was a bit nuts, but now I know I am too.
I completed my visit to the mall with a lovely cup of cappucino in the coffee shop. I came home and a few minutes later got an email from Fumihiko saying he'd be home soon.
When he came home I asked him to set up the new dvd player. We tried it out and it seems to work. I haven't tried a foreign disc yet though, so don't know how well they work in the machine.
We had dinner at Bronco then a quick trip to the grocery store. When we came home we watched Pretty Woman on TV. Fumihiko had never seen it before. Where has this man been? I've seen it at millions of times. My gut reaction is still the same to the movie though. It's cute, but the actors are the reason the whole thing works. The story...well, it just isn't realistic, is it? However, I do have to say that Richard Gere is one fine looking guy!
After watching the repeat of ER, I asked Fumihiko if he could help me fill in some forms that he made for me. Now, keep in mind that he translated them from English in the first place. He kept telling me to shut up, that I was talking too much. When I did stop talking he got all huffy, and stormed out of the room. We said a couple of other things to each other that weren't so nice, but I won't mention them here. Anyway, that's where things stand now. He's off having a sulk and a bath. Lucky he can do both of those things at the same time!
I'm back at work tomorrow. I'm also planning to make a Greek type salad at night. Should be good. I hope!
Wish me luck with the whole sulky husband thing eh? Night!
