Rainy and windy.
We woke up early in Sendai, got up and had breakfast in our hotel. It was small and expensive. I had an omelette and a sausage for 900 yen, or almost $10.00. A little pricey. It was raining, so after breakfast we went out to the bookstore across the street and kept under as much cover as we could!
I had a good snoop through the store and finally got a Jane Austen book and a hair magazine. We left the store and went back to the hotel. All I can say about that is that it's a good thing I did the navigation! Fumihiko kept getting all turned around, and even headed off down the wrong street at one point!
We packed, checked out and then drove to The Mall. We did a lot of looking and a little shopping. I got some decaffeinated Earl Grey tea, some decaffeinated Starbucks coffee and a couple of magazines. I even found a teapot in one store that was similar to my old one, but it was much smaller. We tried asking to see if they had any bigger ones, but they didn't. Sigh. Will I ever get a new one?
After shopping, we had lunch at Milky Way. It was fine. I had chicken, salad bar and soup bar. It wasn't anything to rave about really, it's just that they have a salad bar. Yum.
We headed out of town. We made good time, and listened to some good tunes on the iPod. We stopped a couple of times along the way, but were home before 7 pm.
We checked email and did important computer stuff then went out for dinner. We went to an izakaya and had lots of different stuff. It was all good and I was stuffed! Most of it was pretty healthy I think.
We came home, watched ER and just had a quiet evening in. It was nice.
And that's it for today. I have plans for lunch tomorrow so I have something to look forward to. I'm meeting a friend. I'm excited!
