Sunny but a bit cool.
I didn't go to bed until 4:30 last night, so you can imagine how difficult it was for me to get up this morning. It very nearly wasn't morning! When I did drag myself up, I showered and dressed. Then, hubby and I went out for brunch to the Daiichi hotel. It was pretty good.
All morning though, Fumihiko and I had been getting on each other's nerves and at the mall it was the same. We looked at cds and dvds and that was fine, then he headed into the bookstore. The one that doesn't sell any English books at all. I was a bit peeved honestly. After he was done in there I suggested he take me to the school. I needed a break from him!
I went to the school, re-read over what I was supposed to do, and when the students came, we had a great lesson. We did have to go overtime about 5 minutes, but that wasn't too bad.
After I finished I sent hubby an email. He was going to meet me at the school. I got ready for my interview, setting out chairs and crayons for the child. I got all the papers ready. Then, hubby arrived. Wearing jeans. I was quite shocked. I expected him to wear slacks at the most casual. When the people arrived we had a nice meeting. We chatted for a while. I'm not sure if they'll pick my school or not. Either way it's fine.
Hubby and I went out for dinner afterwards. Instead of our usual places he chose a yakitori shop. It was really good. We had a lot of meat though. I came out of the shop wanting to eat something lighter!
After a beer run for hubby, we came home. We watched the last episode of Desperate Housewives and then put on a dvd. Tonight we watched Vision Quest. Fumihiko liked it because it was about high school wrestling. He, after all, was the Yamagata champion in his high school days! I liked it to people watch. It was really interesting seeing actors in tiny parts that have gone on to greater things. The chief example was Forest Whitaker. He was a member of the wrestling team. He didn't say much, but he was there. And, of course, there was a little singer known as Madonna in there too.
Anyway, that was my day. It turned out okay. I'm off to Sendai tomorrow, wish me luck! Gotta go, night.
Oh, before I go, I have a question for all of you. If they were going to remake any movie with the original actors and you, which movie would you pick? Of course you can replace any actor and be their character. Point to ponder.
