No rain, no snow, not very cold.
Not great day really. Got up very late and ate my bagel. We went out after that, supposedly to get something to eat, but instead ended up at Mikawa. I have no idea why. We went into the mall but it was too crowded and neither of us had any clue about what to do, so we left.
Came back to Tsuruoka and went to the video store. Fumihiko wanted to rent a video of a Stephen King story, but the store only had it in Japanese. I told him to get it anyway, but he wouldn't. We rented a couple of movies.
We went to dinner at Dan. It was quite nice, but a bit expensive. After that I wanted to go for a cappucino, but Fumihiko wanted to go to Book Off. He didn't buy anything, but I did. I got two dvds of The Naked Gun movies and the other one I got the video of. It was very cheap, so if I want to I can replace it with the dvd.
We headed off for S-Mall to get my cappucino. We went into the coffee shop, ordered and I was paying when the clerk announced that the store was closing in five minutes. Huh? That would have been nice to know before I ordered. We had a very hurried cup of coffee and then left. We came home.
At home we watched one of the dvds I rented, The 40 Year Old Virgin. I had heard that it was funny and sweet. Well, it was, but holy cow, what a lot of swearing. It was quite off-putting. I really thought the movie itself was good, but maybe didn't need so much bad language.
Later on, we sort of had a fight. It wasn't a screaming throwing things kind, just one where one of us wasn't kind to the other one. We aren't talking now. The other person here is watching Pay It Forward, which is a crap movie. I'm contemplating telling him how it ends, but that would be against my movie critic sensibilities, so I don't know if I will.
Anyway, I'm off. Night.
