Sunny and warm. Nice day.
I had a good if busy day. I got up a bit later than I had planned, but was still able to do everything before I left for work.
I biked over to work, buying myself a bottle of tea on the way. I checked everything again, plus dusted and vacuumed the school. I wasn't busy this week, but the school was really dusty!
My classes went well. In between I tried to watch some of The West Wing on my mini-dvd player, but I had trouble finding the part of the dvd that I left off at. Sigh. I had to stop my episode in the middle as I ran out of time. I also did a little bit of work on a craft project that's been on my mind for a while. It's looking good so far.
After classes I finished up and left the school. I stopped off at the grocery store. I was in charge of dinner tonight and I had some stuff, but needed more. Then, I came home.
Fumihiko came home a little after me and we just vegged for a while. Hubby made coffee which I took as my hint to start making dinner. I adapted an idea I got off the lovely Blue Lotus site I made chicken kimchi stirfry. It was really good. I added some mushrooms and used some very old white wine to cook the meat in, with a splash of red wine vinegar for good measure. We both had seconds...which is rare for hubby.
He did the dishes and he had a bit of a nap for a while. When 10 pm came around I made coffee and then some curry popcorn. Yum. I watched the two CSI shows, Miami and New York. I like New York better, but I like some of the cast of Miami. I'm trying to decide if I like David Caruso or not. I used to when he was on NYPD Blue, but after he left he disappeared!
Fumihiko roused himself when Grey's Anatomy came on. He likes that show. We both like Sandra Oh. I think all of the cast is quite good.
And that's about it. I watched a bunch of classic tv shows on NHK, Rawhide and The Fugitive. They weren't bad at all. Now, The Beach Boys are on. They're okay. Not great!
Oh, this is sort of a weird thing. I think I've sprained my left wrist. A couple of nights ago I was scratching my derriere (so embarrassing!) and my wrist started to hurt. I have to be really careful not to twist it certain ways or it really really hurts. I can't believe that that's what happened! I've been wearing a wrist brace for bike riding and even teaching.
Hubby's a mess too. Yesterday he was using the chainsaw at work and the handle on the starter cord whipped his thumb. Today he has a huge bruise all over his thumb joint. His other arm is numb from the vibrations. Sigh. Not Good Vibrations.
Anyway, I'm off to bed, maybe! It's very late and I hope to do a lot of stuff on Sunday. If I really mean that I'd better get to bed. Night!
