Bit rainy.
A good day. Fumihiko got up earlier than me as usual and went out to the doctor. While he was gone I roused myself and showered. Yay me! I was just finishing up in the bathroom when he came home.
We had lunch today at the Daiichi Hotel and it was quite nice. We had a good meal. There was fried chicken, some kind of veggie-shrimp stir fry and salad. I did quite nicely as far as food went.
When we finished lunch we did something we should have done a long time ago. We stripped our bed and took the bedding to the laundry. We spent a couple of hours washing and drying everything, but I feel much better about it all now. While we were folding everything up at the end I had the thought that Fumihiko and I are really different people. The first sheet we did, after it was folded into half and then half again, instead of folding it in half once more, hubby folded it into thirds. Sometimes just the simplest of things proves to me just how different we are culturally. Actually, I'm not even sure if it was a culture thing or a man-woman thing! When we finished we brought everything home and remade the bed. I'm looking forward to going to bed and sleeping on a nice clean bed. Yay us!
We had a nice quiet dinner in Bronco, the local steak place, then headed out to a grocery store. Fumihiko wanted some snacks for karaoke. Yep, we went to karaoke tonight. We were there for about 3 hours, and it was fun. I did a bunch of favourites, but I also tried a few new ones to me. They had the new Josh Groban, Don't Give Up, a "new" Rosemary Clooney -Come on a My House, and in honour of Suzulan going to see Meatloaf last night, Anything For Love. Fun. Of course I ended the evening with Total Eclipse of the Heart!
We made a quick trip to our regular grocery store for a few essentials and tomorrow's dinner, then came home. It was quite late, so we spent a pleasant time at our computers. I had to sign up a new member in one of the groups that I moderate, so that took a little bit of opening and closing windows. Still it was okay.
And that's it. Fumihiko has to work tomorrow, but my student isn't coming so I don't have to. I'm not sure what I'll do on the morrow. Stay tuned and find out! Night.
