Cloudy and rainy.
An okay day. Today, I got up at a middling time, not too late, not very early!
I had a quiet morning at home, then went over to my school. It started to rain as soon as I left home! Argh. Luckily I had my raincape in my backpack and I put it on before I got wet.
I got busy at the school and finished setting things up. I had two classes today. The first one went well, but we were studying something a little tricky for the student. The second one, well, that's a different story. The student was in full-I don't want to study-mode. Sigh.
In between my classes, I was busy. I spent a lot of time checking lessons and preparing props. It was a good way to spend the time. I managed to find a bit of time to have a snack and read my book. I'm reading Dick Francis' Under Orders. It's great.
After my last class I did a load of laundry at the school. I use real towels, so I have to wash them frequently! I read more and sent Fumihiko a message that I was almost ready to come home.
I was reading my Dick Francis while I was waiting and I found this section that I really loved. It went like this,
I love it because the words are ordinary, but they are so expressive. They are real and not "poetic". And it's funny. And here we were, some eighteen months later. I loved her more and more each day, a situation that was wonderfully reciprocated. To love someone is a delight, to be loved back as well is a joy beyond measure.
I snuggled up to her back.
'I love you,' I whispered into her ear.
'You're only saying that because you want a bit of nookie,' she replied.
'No, I mean it.'
But we had a bit of nookie nevertheless.
When Fumihiko came to get me up at my school, I read the passage to him. He liked it too. He followed me into the classroom and grabbed me from behind and said, "I love you."
"You're only saying that because you want a bit of nookie," I said.
"You're right!" he said.
I liked that because it showed me that hubby really got what I liked about too.
We went out to M's Dining for dinner. It was nice. We had cut steak.
We came home and vegged out for a while. I started watching TV on my computer. I watched a show about Bridezillas. I never go the chance to be one! The probably good thing about getting married in Japan using a wedding hall meant that they had all the headaches! I had a few...would my dress be ready? Would my make-up be okay? Would there be a typhoon on September 12 to cancel my flight back to Tsuruoka? Nope...it didn't come to Hokkaido. However, we weren't sure that we'd be able to have a honeymoon. International flights only started again the day before we were due to leave.
I'm digressing though. Today was okay. I'm out of things to say! Night night.
