Hot and muggy, but it didn't rain!
Today was kind of an odd day...odd but good. I got up at an okay time and showered. Hubby had gone off to take care of his Mum and dog, so I did a bit of computer stuff. He came home quite early for a change and suggested a cuddle. Now....I do just mean cuddle. This is a discreet kind of blog! We went and had a cuddle on the bed and it was so darn relaxing that I just about fell asleep again. We left for breakfast a bit late even. Yikes!
I had 3 classes at work today and they all went rather well. I enjoyed them anyway. I think the students did too. Hurray for that.
Fumihiko picked me up a bit later than usual and took me home. Then he went off to look after his dog again. I did my computer stuff. Yay me.
We left a bit later. We tried to go to a restaurant in Tsuruoka, but it was a bit busy so we went out to Mikawa instead. We ended up at Cocos. It was fine. Not great, but not bad either. After dinner, we headed over to the mall.
We had about 40 minutes before our movie started, so I asked that we check out Jusco for glasses. My husband has this annoying habit of breaking all of mine, and I want him to buy me new ones. They had some nice ones, but some were quite expensive. I'll look in another shop too this weekend I think.
We headed up to the theater. Tonight was quite a cheap night at the movies. We had free coupons for the show, and free coupons for popcorn, so the cost was only that of our drinks....a huge 540 yen. Not bad. And Fumihiko paid for them too. Bonus. We went to see The Prestige with Michael Caine, Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. I loved it. It was about magicians, and was full of double crosses and misdirections. I "got" some of it, and I think that it was really neat. The cast was pretty great too. I'd pay to watch Michael Caine read the phone book, and where else can you see Wolverine (YAY) face off against Batman (yay)?
We came home via the grocery store and got a bunch of stuff, then came home. Fumihiko made himself some udon and I had the 3 tortilla wraps leftover. There wasn't too much on TV, but I was looking for The Dead Zone. I didn't find it, but I did find The A-Team. Now, I have to admit. I had a sad and deprived childhood. We couldn't watch The A-Team when I was a kid, we didn't have the channel that it was on. We were farmers and only had peasant-vision. So, I watched it, and enjoyed the silliness of it all.
After The A-Team, I watched the end of a British comedy show, then Transporter 2 came on again. We ended up watching it all the way through this time. Jason Statham does have a certain je ne sais quois doesn't he? I think so.
Anyway, it's horribly late and I should be sleeping. Fumihiko will get mad at me if I stay in bed too late tomorrow, so I should run. I do have a lot of things to do on Sunday. Wish me luck people! Night night.
