Hot and sunny.
A good day. I got up at a fairly reasonable time, but missed the news anyway. Shucks! I did my usual morning stuff and after my shower started on my tandori chicken. I made up the paste (equal amounts of paste and plain yogurt), then spread it on the chicken. I let it sit in the fridge for the rest of the day.
My class today was earlier so I headed off to the school around 2. I got there quickly even though I had to ring my bell rather furiously at a group of university students doing some project on the bridge that I had to go over!
Class went well today. I finished up and then came home via the drug store for a few things.
Fumihiko came home on time! He'd told me that he would likely be late, so I was surprised to see him. I suggested that we go out for coffee after he walked his dog, and he agreed. He went home to walk his dog, but came home rather soon. His dog didn't want to go out! Hmm.
We had a cuddle for a while and then went to Doutours in the mall. We each had an iced coffee of some kind and it was nice to be out and about with each other. After our drink, we went to the grocery store where I got some supplies for my school. I wanted to get them when we weren't buying a lot of things for the house. When we do that, I end up getting hubby to pay for them and that's not exactly fair.
We came home and I began to cook. I grilled the chicken, boiled the kettle and microwaved the broccoli. Our dinner tonight was a mixture of cultures and foods! We had tandori chicken, broccoli, shu mei, and miso soup. We drank some chai tea as well. It was quite nice. Fumihiko did the dishes and made me a happy woman. He left my teapot, but I actually don't mind that as much because that was how my old one got broken.
We spent a really quiet evening at home. I made some Italian sodas, the kind with club soda and non-sugar syrup. Yum. They were very nice. I didn't measure carefully, like I'm supposed to, but they worked out fine. Tonight's flavour was raspberry.
And that's about it for today. Not much happened...but it was a nice day. Tomorrow, hubby will be late and so will I. I have an evening class tomorrow. Oh well.
