September 19, 2007 - Wednesday

Sunny day.

I know it's hard to believe but I was in bed by midnight last night! I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, which is why yesterday's update was so short. Sorry about that.

I got up early today, watched a bit of TV. I watched a bit about a magician in Las Vegas. It was dubbed into Japanese, but you could still hear a bit of English underneath. Then, Alfred Hitchcock Presents was on. I'd seen one episode before, but the other one was quite cute. I did a couple of loads of laundry today too. Yay me!

I really had a quiet afternoon. I watched some taped TV, especially Medium and Criminal Minds. Medium was really good, and I even watched it twice! It was kind of a "what if" show, Alison was married to someone else and met Joe while she was defending a man that she knew was guilty. She ended up throwing herself at him in a rainstorm. It was very 4 Weddings and a Funeral, but quite romantic.

I finally made my lunch around 4! and then did dishes and such. Around 6 I decided to go out to the grocery store. I also made a quick deposit to my business account. I got some food for tonight's dinner. I bought chicken strips and veggies. I also got some cream cheese and some bagels for tomorrow morning.

I came home and waited for Fumihiko to come. He'd said he'd be late tonight, and he was. He had to drive to Yamagata. He got home a bit after 7. It was late, but not terribly late.

Firestarter with Drew Barrymore and David Keith came on WOWOW, so we watched that. I cooked dinner. We had shu mei (bought), and chicken stir-fry. I used a little bit of fish sauce on the chicken and veggies. I think it just adds a little zing. Fumihiko made coffee and then we sat in the living room and ate. I was a bit ticked because by the time we got everything moved in the living room to let us eat on the coffee table, my food was cold. I went back to the kitchen and reheated it. The movie was fun. Definitely not Shakespeare, but quite cool. I told Fumihiko that it must have been more than 20 years since I read the book.

And that's about it for my day. Fumihiko's back and neck are still really bothering him. He gets all jittery when he's in pain which makes me really uncomfortable. I know that there's nothing I can do to help him, but I don't do well around people who can't be at peace. He's never at peace these days.

So that was my day. It was quite a bit cooler, especially in the morning and early afternoon. It was a nice change for me. I didn't have to use the air conditioner until quite late this afternoon. I had the windows open and got a nice cross breeze.

I'm out of here. I may be off to bed soon tonight too. I'm still remarkably tired all the time. Night night!
