Sunny and warm. Lovely day.
Today was quite good. I got up reasonably early. I could have sworn that I heard the phone ring early on, so I woke up, but it didn't continue. I got up after a bit, and watched news then took my shower.
I prepared dinner after my shower. I softened some vegetables in the frypan...they were frozen solid at first, and put them in the slow cooker. Then I added more veggies, then the two chicken breasts. I took the skin off them because it is supposed to just get yucky in the slow cooker. I put on my last can of cream of mushroom soup on top, then closed the lid and forgot about it all.
I had to be at work earlier today, so I had my omelette early, then went on my merry way. There was construction going on near our apartment on the little bridge. I was lucky, they let pedestrians and bike people cross it. I made it to the apartment in very good time, and was much earlier than I usually am. Still, I didn't waste the time.
I saw another bug...of course it could have been the same one as yesterday, but today I was very careful not to vacuum the curtains so I got it. I hope I won't have to chase it again. I did a bunch of paperwork for my students, and then when class time was nearer I got ready for my student. We had a good class. It was a bit more challenging for this student, in a good way. We were talking about the Past Simple. It's not particularily hard, but I think it's been a long time since she studied it.
After class, I cleaned up very quickly, then headed home. I didn't stop anywhere. I thought about it, but decided not to. Yay me.
Fumihiko came home around 5:45 and we relaxed for a while. We had our dinner at 7:30 and it was quite good. The chicken was lovely and tender, and the veggies were well cooked. They were a bit mushy, but you could tell what they were. I did think the soup/veggies had a bit of an odd taste. I'm not sure why. Hope everything is okay with them.
Fumihiko did the dishes and we had a quiet evening in. Fumihiko did some more translating for me, so I did quite a bit of printing out. At 10:45 I put the kettle on and then made some lemongrass tea. We watched Desperate Housewives tonight and it was quite good. Fumihiko always says that he is scared by the show. I'm not sure what scares him...the fact that I could turn into one of the ladies or their ilk? It was an amusing episode tonight, so avert your eyes if you haven't seen it yet! [Spoiler Alert...Edie told Mike that Susan was a stalker, Lynnette bribed a pitcher at her son's baseball game to throw easy balls for him, Carlos and Gaby fought even more and Gaby told Carlos about her affair last week, and Bree's son met an old customer of his.] The plot thickens...or is that sickens?
Fumihiko has gone off to bed, and I should get there too. I have a lot of things I want to do tomorrow before hubby goes to the hospital on Friday, so I need to get on some of them.
Today was a nice day...yay. I hope tomorrow is too. Night night.
