December 28, 2007 - Friday

A few drops of rain all day.

I went to bed last night hoping for the best, but was awakened at 4:30 with a screaming headache. It was really, really bad. I went to the washroom and when I came back to bed, Fumihiko asked how I was. I told him I wasn't very good, so he asked if I'd like him to take me to the doctor today. I finally said yes.

In the morning I felt moderately better, but not a lot. I got up and showered, then got dressed. We went over to the doctor that Fumihiko uses for general stuff, and waited in the lobby. I saw the doctor after a while, he asked me a few questions, some in English, some that Fumihiko had to translate for me, and then he told me it most likely wasn't a brain tumor, but if the headaches continued after the holidays I could have an MRI or a CT scan done then. In the meantime he'd give me some pills. Yay. (I'm being sarcastic. Japanese Doctors always give drugs, no matter what the problem is!)

We picked up the medicine and then paid our phone bill. I've asked Fumihiko to give me the bill next time it comes and the money and I'll pay it on my way to work. I can go past a convenience store, it's not a problem. He usually forgets to pay and then the phone company doesn't like us anymore. After that we had breakfast at Gusto. It was quite nice.

We came home then, and both of us took a bit of a nap. Fumihiko got up before 12 though and went off to work. I got up just after 12 to watch the news. I only saw the BBC news today, but it was okay.

I watched this afternoon's Poirot and actually guessed the murderer. Yay for me. One of the actors faces was driving me crazy. I knew I'd seen him in something but couldn't place him for ages. Then it hit me. He played Mr. Bennett in the BBC's Pride and Prejudice. The one with Colin Firth and the pond.

I played around on my computer for a while tonight, then I started watching Miami Vice. It was very different than the old TV show. It wasn't bad. Fumihiko came home just after 5:30 and we watched it together, then went out for dinner.

We went to Hana. It's a Japanese food restaurant near my school. I made Fumihiko promise before we went NOT to read the entire fish board to me. In the first place I don't need him to do that, and in the second place, I really don't order fish all that often anyway. He tends to tell me "Fish A is like Fish B, but it's from down south." or "Fish C is like Fish X,Y & Z, but it doesn't have any colour." or whatever. I can't keep them straight in my head! Anyway, he had fish and I had tonkatsu. Mine was local to Shonai area, and very nice. The restaurant was the busiest tonight that I've ever seen it. We had to drive by twice before we got a parking spot.

We came home via the grocery store for a few necessities and then came home. We've had a really quiet evening at home together. I really don't mind. My headaches come and go and I'm never sure when the next one is going to come. However, now I have ze pills so I'm sure I'll feel better soon!

I should run. I have no idea what I'll be doing tomorrow. I'll try and talk to you tomorrow night. Got to go. Night night.
