June 9, 2008 - Monday

Sunny and warm. Gorgeous day!

I had a lovely lie-in this morning. I just relaxed in the morning. I finally showered and then started to get on with my day. I set up my slow cooker. It took a while, but I peeled veggies, then browned my roast and put it in the slow cooker. I also steamed some frozen broccoli, drained it, and put it in the fridge to cool.

I washed the dishes and then headed out. I wanted to get to the bank before 3 pm. I managed. I was close mind you, but I made it. I got my bill paid, then biked off to another bank to make a deposit in the machine.

I ended up at S-mall. I did a bit of shopping and then had an iced tea and a sandwich. I read Prince Caspian while I ate. It was an enjoyable break. I picked up a few things I need for my classes tomorrow, then headed back home.

Fumihiko came home before 6 pm and got me to do some printing for him. I found out how to do a cut and paste on his computer...it's basically the same on Windows as it is in Mac. We had a snuggle afterwards.

Around 7:30 I got dinner together. I mixed the broccoli with mayonnaise, took the meat out of the slow cooker to let it rest, made coffee, set the table. I did it all! I carved the roast, made a bit of gravy, and then served dinner. It was really good. We even have some roast leftover for tomorrow. Yay. Fumihiko did the dishes afterwards, which was really nice for me.

We had a quiet evening at home, then around eleven-thirty Fumihiko asked if we could go to the store. He wanted to get something to drink. Crazy man.

We went to the grocery store, spent a few minutes there, and then came home again! Yes, we are crazy. Fumihiko had his drink and late night snack, then headed off for bed. I'm blogging. I'm determined to get to bed earlier tonight. I hope!
