Hot and sunny, with a bit of cloud early on.

A good day. Surprisingly for me. I got up, checked the telly for the news and lo! There it was! Charles Gibson in all his glory. Amazing. After the news, I ended up watching Blow Out, which was a movie that I'd heard about for years, but didn't see before. It wasn't bad. I didn't watch it as closely as I should have because I lost the thread near the end, but it looked good. Apart from John Travolta. I'm just not a fan.

Today, I went out for lunch to the Daiichi Hotel. I just had their buffet, but it was nice. It was a no fuss lunch. It also got me out of the house and into someone else's air conditioning! After I finished lunch, I biked over to my bank, paid a bill, went to the post office and posted off Katie's presents, then went to another bank for my school. I needed to update my passbook.

After all that, it was back to the mall with me! I hacked around the hundred yen shop but didn't buy anything. I had a nice glass of iced tea in Doutors, then came home.

Fumihiko came home around 6 tonight and after a bit we went out to buy more milk. Why I didn't buy it last night, I don't know. I think I underestimate how much he drinks. I only use it for coffee personally, I just don't like milk that much, so I'm not used to people drinking it. Course on the farm we had all the skim milk we could use and then some! I didn't drink it there either.

When we came back home I got dinner started. Fumihiko was nice enough to make coffee, so I did the veggie chopping and then the meat cutting up. I started frying it while I cut up the meat so I got Fumihiko to stir the meat. It was nice to have a bit of help. Seems like old times. When everything was done, dinner was ready. It was just stir fry and then a soy bagel each, but it was nice.

Fumihiko did the dishes and then we ended up watching Liar Liar on NHK. It was just as stupid as I thought it would be. Jim Carrey can be funny, but he just mugged too much. In the final credits they showed some outtakes from the film and they had Swoosie Kurtz yelling "overactor" at him, and it was the funniest part of the movie. Fumihiko then switched back to WOWOW to watch some of Babel. I haven't seen it yet. I'd like to see it from the beginning with English subtitles. It's not fun when I can't understand half of the movie. Course, I don't think it's a really "fun" movie anyway.

At 11 I watched Hustle on NHK. It's a British show about con artists. I really like it so I made Fumihiko give up on Babel. I'm so mean.

We spent half of the show and a lot of time afterwards booking hotels. We're going to go to Sendai for the long weekend this month. Of course, we really should have decided to go earlier, then we could have gotten good rooms, but we managed to get rooms at two different hotels in Sendai for two different nights. Hopefully we'll have a good time.

Anyway, that was my day. It was quite good, and not at all what I usually do on a Wednesday. That's probably why I enjoyed it so much!

Night night.

My blog on Blogspot. NO annoying pop-ups, and with bonus pictures too! I'm running out of space on Angelfire and will probably move the daily blog portion to Blogspot completely.
