Cloudy, bit of rain, then hot, sunny and humid.

A good day today. Surprisingly good actually.

We got up this morning. Fumihiko didn't go to the doctor this morning. He was going to take me but I flat out refused to go. I just don't like the medical system here. My scalp is itching again. I'm not sure why, but it's not getting better. It gets better for a bit and then starts to hurt again. And, to complicate things, my left index finger really hurts. I woke up one morning with it sore, and ever since then it has really hurt. Bending it isn't fun, and neither is typing. Since it's one of the main typing fingers, it makes blogging a little painful! So, I didn't go to the doctor, but I probably should have gone to at least one of them.

Fumihiko watched part one of The Langoliers and then took me out for brunch. We went to Marumatsu today, and it was okay. Not great. Then, he dropped me off at my school.

I had a good day today. My first student was her usual fun self and we had a productive time. After her class I had a long break so I finished reading my book, Dead Heat by Dick Francis (with his son Felix). It was brilliant. Really enjoyable. I decided to go out for a walk, so I walked to the drugstore and had a good poke around the store. I got some food and also something for my shoe cupboard at the school. It's a bit smelly. I'm not sure why as I'm the only person who puts their shoes in there! Still, it could be the slippers I guess.

When I got back to the school, the temperature without the air conditioner on had gone up 3 degrees. Yikes. I cooled it down again, had a snack and then got ready for my other class.

My last class went well today too. The new student seems very nice. I think that she's still a little nervous yet.

When her class was finished, I did up my paperwork and then called Fumihiko. I did the very few dishes and was waiting outside for him when he arrived.

We went to the Mall in Mikawa. When we got close I saw fireworks in the distance. I have no idea what the occasion was, but they looked nice. We drove into the mall's parking and found a good place. We had dinner at one of the mall's restaurants. It was okay. Then, we went up to the cinema and Fumihiko bought us tickets to see The Dark Knight. Honestly, I didn't expect to be able to get in to see it, but it wasn't very crowded at all. I bought the drinks and popcorn and we went in. I'm going to write a review later, so I will just say that The Dark Knight was very good, very dark, and a little too long. The performances were very good though, and Heath Ledger was amazingly scary.

After the movie we drove back to Tsuruoka and hit up the grocery store for some food. Honestly, I didn't find much that I wanted so I got a sandwich pack. I did plan to make something at home, but didn't.

When we got home, I called my niece to wish her a happy birthday. It was nice being able to talk to her today, and I also got to talk to my little nephew too. We had an intelligent conversation! I was really surprised.

So, that's my day. It was pretty good and I enjoyed it. Tomorrow we may go fishing in the late afternoon. At least that's the plan for now!
