Snow.
Today was a good day, which really surprised me.
I got up this morning and drank coffee, watched the news, the usual. Then I got ready to go out. And changed my mind. I decided to take a later bus to the mall. I waited for a bit, and then realized that I had only 20 minutes to get to the bus station. Yikes.
It was still raining outside, and quite heavily, so I took an umbrella and walked as quickly as I could to the bus depot. I just made it! If the bus hadn't been a couple of minutes late I think I would have missed it. I had an uneventful ride to the mall.
At the mall I had lunch then did some shopping. I checked out boots in Aeon and found a couple of pairs that would do, then started thinking about my Christmas shopping. I got quite a bit done. I kept checking my phone, waiting for my husband to call me, but he didn't. Finally, I was browsing the larger size department of the store when I looked up and saw my husband coming towards me. He had phoned me a couple of times, but I didn't notice. I'm not sure what happened! He had taken the afternoon off in lieu of overtime pay, had gone to his house and put the snow tires on his car, and then had driven out to the mall again to meet me. We finished up some shopping and then had coffee.
We were discussing possible dinner places when Fumihiko suddenly suggested "our place, Bistrot des Pointes", so that's where we went. We had a lovely meal of fish and steak. That place is so good. I was also surprised to find a little later that they've changed their toilet. It used to be a Japanese styled one, now it's a western one. Hurray for that too!
We came home via the grocery store for tomorrow night's dinner. By this time the snow was coming down more strongly. We parked at home, Fumihiko watched a little telly and I surfed the web.
We have a few centimeters of snow outside, and it's probably going to stay. More is forecast for tomorrow too I think. Bleck. We might have to get up early and shovel snow. Not my favourite thing at all.
Oh, one last thing. Someone requested one of my books on Book Moochers. That's kind of cool. I'll send her a book and I guess that means that I can ask for a book from someone else. Neat!
Wish me luck getting to work tomorrow please. Night.
|My blog on Blogspot. NO annoying pop-ups, and with bonus pictures too! I'm running out of space on Angelfire and will probably move the daily blog portion to Blogspot completely.
