November 18, 2008 - Tuesday

Rainy with a forecast of more, including possibly snow. Yikes.

I had a good day today. I got up early but decided to sleep in a little extra today. I turned on the heater and crawled back into bed. When I got up again it was time for the news and some coffee. Yay me.

I did a bit of housework today. It was very unexpected. I did some spot cleaning in the shower and then some vacuuming through the rest of the place.

I watched my weekend tv and enjoyed it. Cold Case had Mitch Pileggi from X-Files as the father of the murder victim and the final song was Corey Hart's Never Surrender. I love that song. It's helped me get through some rough times here in Japan. Ironically I didn't like it when it was a big hit!

I cooked my omelette and then headed out in the rain for work. I didn't leave as early as I should have, but I made reasonable time. I didn't get as wet as I expected to. My pants did a bit, and I hung them in the bathroom at work, but the rest of me didn't get wet. Hurray.

Classes went well today. We finished the textbook in the first lesson. He's on to the next one next week. In the second class we talked about our busy weekends and the Eiken test. Then, we got into the lesson.

After class I did paperwork and got ready to leave. I also decided to dub a copy of a cd for my class, so I had to set that up. I won't have time for the rest of the week. I emailed Fumihiko to say I'd be ready soon, but not yet. However, he showed up anyway. Sigh.

We were going to have dinner at the tonkatsu restaurant that he likes, but we got there just a minute after they closed. Then I suggested Marumatsu. It's close to our apartment and okay in a pinch. They also stay open until midnight which is a bonus.

We came home and watched Ugly Betty which was very funny, then relaxed for a while. Fumihiko found the bus schedule for me for tomorrow. I'm going to the mall if I can to do a bit of Christmas shopping.

That was my day. I also finished a book that I'd been reading courtesy one of my friends. It's called The Sister and was very interesting. It was quite thought-provoking.

Anyway, that's it for me for today. Wish me luck if I do head out tomorrow! Got to go. Night.
