Game Review
Hesperia Christian got a true tuneup game against Peace in the Valley winning 94-23. The game was basically over in the first quarter when the score was 27-1. HCS shot a tremendous 71% from the field and had a phenomenal 29 steals (a season high), many off their press. There was no real pressure on the Patriots who had only 11 turnovers all night. Senior guard Josh hamilton did well to get 24 points playing only a little over a half game. The real highlight was the amount of playing time the second team got. Senior Sam Sullivan had a career high 13 points and 8 rebounds. Senior Matt Boesch got his first two varsity points. All of this playing time will pay dividends down the road for HCS. Again the only real downside was another atrocious free throw shooting night. HCS was 5/14 for a miserable 35%. This has got to improve before we play any Rolling Hills Prep, Hillcrest Christian, Pilibos, New Roads, etc. HCS is now 6-2 while Peace in the Valley is 0-4.

Game Preview Hesperia Christian has their final tune-up game prior to the Santa Maria Tournament against Peace in the Valley. Peace in the Valley is coming off a home and away series with Noli Indian. They play in the Majestic League. This is the very first match between these two teams in basketball. This game will be an excellent chance for HCS to fine tune their rebounding game and continue to improve their free throw shooting before the Valley Christian SM Christmas tournament. HCS is now 5-2. Last year at this time they were 4-3 and two years ago they were 6-2. Both years HCS went to the quarterfinals of CIF.
