This
iris is a deep purple with a white center and is the first to bloom each year.
It has been in my yard for 12 years now.
This iris is also a different shade of deep purple and it is competing with
the grasses that grow here and after a good rainy February has decided to bloom
again this year. We moved most of the irises that were not planted around the
base of trees that could be water to a circle and are waiting to see if they
succeed in growing there.
This
iris is white with a bright orange center.

This pale two tone is an old iris and I'm told one of the first colors of irises. It fades with age, but is still very nice. We also have ones that are even lighter than this one.
This unknown to us plant lives under our deck in two different places. It's flowers are beautiful, and I'm sure it might do great some where else, but we've never had any success moving it and seeing it grow once moved. It just keeps coming back here.
With our drought we've
lost all our irises.
