Installing a Hard Drive

This is a very simple step: Take the HDD out of the packaging, and put it in the front of the computer so that the connections are in the back. Use 4 screws to secure the drive to the case and you're done. Quick and easy 'eh? We suggest putting the hard drive in one of the lower bays of the computer.

Remember to not attach the wires YET.

Installing Optical Drives

Even simpler, see "Installing a Hard Drive" (which is above). and Repeat for these drives. Generally speaking, the DVD-ROM goes in the top bay, and the CD-RW right below.

But wait! There's More! Before you insert your second optical drive (the CD-RW) look at the back of it. You will see the IDE connector (long and black) as well as a white 4-pin power connector. Remember what it looks like because all of the hard drives and optical drives have the same back.

Remember to not attach the wires YET.
