Step 3:Generate Persona Stats
A. Determine Health Points
Each persona starts out with 6 points of health. Fighters start out with 9 points. Each time a persona gains a new level he will get 1d6 additional Health Points. Fighters will gain 1d6 +3 Health Points each level.
Health Points: This score represents the units of a persona’s health.
Health Points indicate the vitality of a persona. The persona will sustain injuries during adventuring, and Health Points will be lost. When the persona’s health point total reaches 1 or 0 points he is barely conscious. When the persona’s health point total is –1 to –6 he is unconscious. If the persona’s health point total should reach –7 he will die.
A persona can regain 2 Health Points per full day of rest.
B. Determine Combat Attacks
Each persona will have a base score of 0 in each Attack Attribute. The player has 2 points to spend between the Attack Attributes.
Hand-to-Hand Attack:
This is the base score for close combat attacks. The player will add his Level Attack bonus to this base score to determine the total Hand-to-Hand Attack bonus.
Ranged Attack:
This is the base score for ranged combat attacks. The player will add his Level Attack bonus to this base score to determine the total Ranged Attack bonus.
Magic Attack:
This is the base score for magic attacks. The player will add his Level Magic Attack bonus to this base score to determine the total Magic Attack score. (Bard, Priest, Ranger, and Wizard only).
C. Determine Defense Attributes
Each persona has a base score of 10 in each Defense Attribute. The player has 2 points to spend between the Defense Attributes.
Defense:
This target number indicates how hard a persona is to hit with a Hand-to-Hand Attack or Ranged Attack. The Armor Defense Bonus is added to the base score to determine the total Defense Target Number.
Magic Resistance:
This target number indicates how hard a persona is to hit with a Magic Attack. Magic Resistance is used to avoid the ill affects of Magic attacks on the Persona.
Poison Resistance:
This target number indicates how hard a persona is to hit with a Poison Attack. Poison Resistance is used to avoid the ill affects of Poison attacks or Disease effects on the Persona.
