Project
1:
Objective:
Shoot and edit a film using the Voice over/ Narrative concept.
Okay,
this is my first film. It sucks. I'm not even going to try to explain
myself. It just sucks. |

Project
2:
Objective:
Shoot and edit a film using he crosscut concept.
This
film was fun to do. Everything was shot completely out of order an on
diferent days. My prof liked my use of a pitch black screen with the
sound effects to imply another place. I got an A. |

3:
Objective:
Shoot an edit a film using the montage concept
Again, i didn't quite
get the idea of a "montage" while doing his project. I thought
I did know what a "montage" was, so I didn't have any questions.
However, unfortunately for me and my GPA, I was wrong about my previous
assumptions. I did, however, prove to myself I knew what i was doing
in my latest film. |

4:
Objective:
Shoot and edit a film synching the video to an audio track you create
or is already made.
Fun project, very
dark. I was out on a walk and found the alley and it was perfect. It
looked exactly what I wanted it to look like, it was well lit, it was
perfect. I chose Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King"
and decided to take my roommate, turn him into a bum and have him stalk
his girlfriend and kill her. I think it's a good portfolio piece because
it shows that I can do serious stuff as well as comedy. |

5:
Objective:
Shoot and Edit a film. narrate a story using only one word.
My word: "ah".
It's a pretty funny film. I would like to draw attention to two things:
the long pauses between the knocks. This was done on purpose, sorta
of like an Andy Kauffman sorta thing going on there. The other thing
is the shot in which he sits up in bed. I love this shot, but it was
a bitch to do. I had to Pan, Tilt and Zoom the camera all at the same
time with only two hands while making sure Nate stayed in frame... it
turned out good. |

221: Animation |
|
Objective: Create a 30 second "doodle"
animation. NO NARRATIVE STRUCTURE
This is the first animation that I made for my animation course winter
semester 2003. I'm pretty happy with it. I got an A on it. Click the
image to download it. Come on, you know you want to, it's only 1.7 megs...
;) |
|
Objective: Creat a minumum of 30 seconds of audio
to be put to a future animation
Objective: Create an animation synching with the audio you have just
created. Use stop motion techniques to animate inanimate objects.
I got a B on the audio, oh well. The animation was, however, rather
successful. It' about 4.7 megs.
