Project
1:
Objective:
take a real world object and draw it using Photoshop 7.0
I
stumbled a bit on this project. First, I didn't know what to draw. Second,
when I decided upon my desk lamp, I found that due to perspective, I
couldn't make a 2d image of it that looked realistic. The actual lamp
section looked bigger than the base because it was closer... The biggest
problem with this project, though, was figuring out how the light reflected
off of the curved medal surface. I studied my lamp for hours, looking
at every minut detail. It was only after a week into the project that
I actually started the drawing. After studying my lamp so much, it was
easier to draw because I knew what it looked like in my head. The switch
is more or less my pride and joy. I think itturned out very well.

Project
3:
Objective: Create
a cd case cover for a fictional band.
This
was a fun project. I earned an A on it. It was one of the better examples
in my class. I took all the pictures myself and played around with them
in Photoshop 7.0. The song names are pretty much made up, but I am working
on actually writing most of them. The band name came from the first
week I was up at Northern, when I cut up a sticker from another band
and made the crossword type image for the name. |

4:
Objective:
Make a 45 second animation using Adobe After Effects 4.0
Once again,
I had trouble coming up with any idea for this project. However, thanks
to Heather Hansma, I was able to finish the project on time. She gave
me the idea of having a bunny get drunk. I came up with the throwing
of the Easter eggs. It took me about three days to do, total. |
