Dear Friends,

Welcome to The Butterfly Net, our bi-weekly newsletter. You can join in with your friends as they celebrate and mourn the events of their lives. It’s a place where we can find information and feel unity.

Last night was the Parents of Suicides’ annual Candlelight Memorial Service. Fifty-two members attended. We lighted our candles together, lifting our thoughts in love and peace to our children. Then we took a moment to remember those who have lost there life through war and violence. A song written by Paul Alexander, Light a Candle, was read. Before we each typed in our loved one(s)’s name, a well-known Jewish prayer was read (We Remember Them). I have included it in Butterfly Kisses section of this newsletter. 

Karyl and Iris have started a new group just for POS members who are in or were in 12-step recovery programs for alcohol and/or drug addictions. Please see the Recovery Support Group article in this issue for more information.

Willis has been working tirelessly adding new photos to our POS Memorial Quilt photo album. There are also photos of the quilt on display and Karyl’s visit to Colorado now online. The web address for both sites are in the New Photos section of this newsletter.
