Rebecca Shallenberger / Dolphin These photos are of Rebecca Shallenberger, wife of John Dolphin. Rebecca was first married to a Richard Calvert, whom I believe was killed during the Civil War. She later married John Dolphin. The smaller polariod taken in 1919 also pictuers her daughter, Jessie Dolphin / Starr. Rebecca is sitting in the photograph. These photos were orignally the property of Marilyn Hammes. Marilyn was the G. Granddaughter of Rebecca and granddaughter of Nettie Dolphin / Hammes. The photo is now owned by David Keck, G.G. Grandson of Rebecca.

Lillian Gray Dolphin Lillian Gray was the second wife of John Dolphin (son of Matthew and Mary). John and Lillian were married December 12, 1915 in Phoebus, Virginia. Still searching for a picture of John who is my Great Great Grandfather. Lillian was later married to a Frank Ervin.

Jesse Dolphin Jesse Dolphin was born Nov 12, 1867 in Glen Haven, wisconsin. She married Louis Starr on Dec 19, 1888. They had 1 boy named Laurie who died as a teenage. At a certain point in their lives, they raised Howard Hammes, son of Nettie and Frank Hammes. All of my photographs of Jesse came from Marilyn Hammes the daughter of Howard.

James Dolphin James Dolphin was born May 15, 1885 in Glen Haven, wisconsin. He married Rosa Caspers on June 11, 1912. They had 5 daughters. He died on September 1, 1964 in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Jim is my Great Grandfather.

Charles Dolphin Charles Augustus Dolphin was born on November 16, 1873 in Wisconsin. He married Nettie Gelbach on September 6, 1898. They had 5 children. These pictures contain Charles Dolphin and his wife Nettie Gelbach and family.

Warren J. Dolphin Warren Jay Dolphin was born on August 25, 1869 in Glen Haven, Wisconsin. He died January, 1913 and is buried at the Hillside Cemetery in Lancaster, Wisconsin. He is the son of John and Rebecca Dolphin.

Rutherford B. Dolphin Rutherford B. Dolphin was born on around 1876 in Glen Haven, Wisconsin. He died July 16, 1946 in Grant Co, Wis. He married Saddie Biggins on May 25, 1898 and had 4 children, 1 dying as an infant. He is the son of John and Rebecca Dolphin. Agnes Dolphin Agnes Dolphin was born on February 6, 1880 in North Andover, Wis. She married Harry C. Orton on June 25, 1902 in Lancaster. They had no children. She died on February 27, 1948 and buried at Hillside Cemetery, Lancaster, WI. She is the daughter of John and Rebecca Dolphin.

Possible Nettie & Frank Hammes Photo Nettie Dolphin was the daughter of John and Rebecca Dolphin and married Frank Hammes. I've currently labeled this photo as being Nettie and Frank Hammes. However, when I compare the face of Nettie, there is an incredible likeness the the photo above of Agnes Dolphin. My Agnes Dolphin has the Name Aggie written on the back of the photo. However, this photo could also possibly be Agnes and Harry C. Orton. I have no pictures of Harry, only a couple of Frank. Perhaps you the viewer can assist me in this identification. In the next group of photos, I'll have some comparison of the various sisters. This photo was in the possession of Marilyn Hammes the granddaughter of Nettie and Frank. Lulu Dolphin This is Jesse, Lulu, William Henkle, Larry Henkle and Lou Star Lulu was born about 1882 and married William Henkle. Sadly, I have only a few photographs of Lulu in the poloroid type, and none of them are very clear of her facial features. See the photos listed under Laurence Henkle for more photos of Lulu. This was once the property of Marilyn Hammes, now owned by David Keck.

Children of John and Rebecca Dolphin The following close ups are children of John and Rebecca Dolphin. Included is Jessie, Agnes, Nettie, Lulu, Charlie, Warren, Rutherford, James and Harry. The one questionable photo is whether Nettie might be Agnes? There is a very close resemblence between the two woman. The photo thought to be Nettie was once owned by Marilyn Hammes (daughter of Nettie and Frank Hammes).
